UNTIL You [YOONGI] (Book 1)

Chapter 1

"THEY'RE COMING!" A girl screeched to all the classrooms as she sprinted down the corridor.

There was a sudden panic and high pitched screams echoed off the walls. Every girl in the classrooms scrambled to fix their hair and apply the finishing touches to their lips.

Soo-ji rolled her eyes and turned up the volume of her iPod.

This had become a common occurrence now and she knew better than to turn up to school without headphones.

You see, Hansung High School was run by these seven boys who every girl seemed to kill each other for. They named themselves BTS. And it didn't take a genius to work out why they were so popular. They were all incredibly good looking, they were all smart and they were what you call the ultimate bad boys of the school. Everyone wanted to either get with them or be them.

Although Soo-ji wasn't as fazed as the other girls were over them, she was curious.

She looked up as one of the BTS boys, Min Yoongi, strolled through the door. He was the only one in her class. And the screams, gasps and giggles went off again.

Even though they were in the same class, Yoongi had never spoken to Soo-ji before. As a matter of fact, he was never interested in anyone else other than his friends and Kwon Bora, who was arguably the most popular girl in school. Rumours were that they were dating.

He walked past her to sit at his desk at the back of the room and immediately, Bora leaned over his table. They were talking extremely quietly and ignored everybody else.

"They look good together."

"Does anyone know if they confirmed their relationship yet?"

"They're obviously dating."

"I will never have a chance."

"She's only popular because of her dad's money."

Bora whipped her head around. "WHO SAID THAT?!" She snapped to everyone.

Soo-ji turned to look at her and everyone fell silent. She could almost hear the gulp in everyone's throat.

This is gonna be a long day... She sighed.

It was past 9pm and Soo-ji was just walking home after studying in the library when she rounded the corner and heard loud laughter. She stopped dead in her tracks and clutched onto the strap of her bag tightly.

There were about eight or nine drunk boys in different high school uniform in front of her.

"Hey pretty girl, wherrr you going?" One of them stepped forward and slurred.

"Hansung High School huh?" Another looked at her High School logo emblazoned on her blazer jacket. "I heard there are lots of hot girls there."

"Don't touch me," Soo-ji stepped back when he tried to touch her jacket collar. They all encircled around her.

"Yah Heon Woo, you're scaring the girl!" A third guy sniggered and they all burst into laughter again.

"Come with us, we'll show you how to have fun," a fourth guy hooked his arm around her neck and some beer spilled over her as he dragged her along.

"Let go of me!" Soo-ji exclaimed as she tried to shrug out of his grasp.

Just then, Soo-ji felt the pressure of his arm lifted from her shoulders as they were roughly pulled away.

They all whipped around and Soo-ji tried to calm her heart beat and heavy breaths.

Yoongi and the rest of the BTS boys stood there, glaring at the drunk boys.

"YAH! What the fuck?!" Heon Woo shouted.

Without replying, Yoongi threw one single punch at his jaw and Heon Woo fell straight onto the floor.

His friends jumped back in shock and suddenly they all launched onto Yoongi and BTS.

Soo-ji stepped back and pressed herself against the wall, her eyes widened in shock at the sight in front of her.

Yoongi had just kicked one of the boys in the stomach, causing him to topple over in pain and another launched themselves onto his back. Yoongi, in one swift movement, whipped his body round and slammed him onto the floor.

The BTS boys were all throwing kicks and punches everywhere and then one by one all of the drunk boys laid on the floor, groaning in pain.

Yoongi turned his eyes onto Soo-ji, who stood frozen in shock. She swallowed hard as he slowly approached her.

She wanted to thank him for saving her, she wanted to tell them how grateful she was.

She just opened her mouth to say something when-

"A vulnerable girl like you should learn how to protect yourself," he uttered as if saving her was an inconvenience to him.

And with that, he walked off with the rest of BTS.

Soo-ji looked at their backs walking further away from her and her eyes filled with tears as she ran home.

And those were the very first words he said to me.
