The next morning, Soo-ji walked into school and noticed a lot of people staring and whispering around her.

Is it true?

What's their relationship?

Who the fuck even is she?

What does he see in her?

I thought he's with Kwon Bora?!

What's going on? She wondered and carried on to her classroom.

Soo-ji sat down at her desk when suddenly, a pair of hands slammed down on her table. She jumped and looked up startled.

"Is it true that you were with my Yoongi last night?" Bora leaned down at her, her wide eyes shooting daggers.

The room fell into a deafening silence, everyone turned to them, people outside the classroom peered through the windows.

"Erm..." Soo-ji hesitated, what shall I say?

"Yes." A voice said at the door.

She turned and the devil himself walked in towards them before stopping at her side.

Bora looked like she had the wind knocked out of her.

"Oppa... what does this mean?" She growled in a low voice. "Why were you with her so late last night after school? Someone saw you two and I wouldn't even believe the rumours..."

"It's true." Yoongi simply said and Soo-ji put her face in her hands. She felt like hitting him round the head.

"Do you like her?" Bora asked.

Everyone held their breath and it felt like time had stopped right then and there.

"What if I said yes?"

...

...

...

...

There was a short loud gasp from everyone around the room, someone fell out of their chair and whispers were flying off the walls.

"Come on, Soo-ji." And he grabbed her wrist and walked out.

"OPPA!" Bora screeched behind them.

They reached the courtyard outside and he let go of her arm.

"Yah. Did you have to be so honest back there?" Soo-ji glared at him.

"Don't wet yourself. You're not my type." He said lazily and sat down on a bench under a tree.

She rolled her eyes, "I meant, couldn't you just say no we weren't together last night to stop the drama?" She plopped herself down next to him.

"You don't seem like the type of girl to care about rumours."

"I don't. But now I have to deal with your fangirls." She crossed her arms and leaned back.

A small smirk curved at the corner of his lips.

"So what now?" He teased, "Do you want to play my girlfriend so I can protect you from their claws?" He leaned in close to her face with a smirk.

She gave him a sarcastic smile, "I know you think I'm a vulnerable girl but I can protect myself from them so you can fuck off. Besides, you're not my type either."

He leaned back and let out a howling laugh.

After a few minutes, an awkward silence fell around them.

"Who is Bora to you?" Soo-ji asked.

"She's not my girlfriend if that's what you're wondering."

Soo-ji scowled at him.

He let out a small chuckle before hesitating, "she's err... the daughter of someone I respect. I met her through her father and she stuck to me ever since."

"Right... why don't you just tell her you don't like her?" Soo-ji asked.

He shuffled slightly, "her father wouldn't be too happy if I'm that brutally honest."

What the hell?

Yoongi leaned his head back and closed his eyes. She turned back around to face forward.

The leaves in the tree blew slightly and a small wind blew her hair behind her face. The warm sun was out and the silence around them was calm.

"I should get going..." Soo-ji said after a while, standing up slowly.

Yoongi gave her a small nod. However, she stopped after a couple of steps when she felt him grab her wrist, pulling her back.

"Let me know if Bora or anyone else bothers you, okay?"

"Why..."

"I'll have your back."

She nodded her head slowly, slightly surprised by the seriousness in his voice.

"Okay..." She said hesitantly, "and thanks, by the way, for helping me back there."

And then she left, confused by how he was starting to be nice to her.
