Soo-ji dreaded going to school the next day as she was still upset from what happened on the night before. She didn't want to see Yoongi or any of the BTS boys.

"A vulnerable girl like you should learn how to protect yourself."

Although she was annoyed by what he said, she couldn't deny the truth was that had he or his friends not been there, god knows what would've happened to her.

She decided that she would at least say thanks to him.

She walked into class and saw that he hadn't arrived yet. He always comes in late anyway, she thought.

She sat down at her desk and soon the homeroom teacher, Ms. Kang, came in to start class. Maybe he's not coming in today.

However, as soon as she thought that, the door flew open and Yoongi walked in. His uniform was tucked out and his tie hung loosely round his neck. He ran his hand through his messy bed hair and all the girls in the class drooled at the sight of him.

"Min Yoongi, you're late." Ms. Kang said sternly.

Yoongi ignored her and headed to his desk, swiftly brushing past Soo-ji.

For the rest of the lesson, Soo-ji felt tense knowing that he was sitting a couple of seats behind her.

***

She never had a chance to speak to Yoongi during the entire day for when it was breaks or lunchtime, he was always with his boys or he had some girls hanging around him.

By the time the school finished, Soo-ji decided that she wouldn't have a chance to even get close to him. She had just finished putting her stuff in her locker when she saw him talking on the phone by his locker. Alone.

She hesitated for a few seconds and bit down on her lower lip, deciding whether to approach him.

Sigh... Now or never... And she took in a deep breath and slowly walked towards him.

"Yes." Soo-ji heard him talk on the phone, "I will deal with it-"

Yoongi quickly hung up and turned his head towards her when he saw her walking towards him at the corner of his eyes.

"Hey," she said quietly, stopping in front of him.

"Has your parents not taught you that eavesdropping on people's conversations is rude?"

Wow, he can talk about rude. Pft. Soo-ji thought in her head.

"Erm... I just wanted to thank you and your friends for saving me last night."

Yoongi didn't say anything. Instead, he only raised his eyebrow.

She cleared her throat, "you don't have to say anything, I don't expect you to. I just wanted to let you know that I am really grateful for what you and your friends did for me."

"For you? Tsk, trust me, we didn't do that for you." He sneered.

Soo-ji felt her cheeks warming.

"Yah! Don't think you're so cool! If saving me last night caused that much inconvenience to your evening then you shouldn't have bothered!"

Looking at her face closely, he slowly walked towards her until her back hit the lockers. She could feel sweat forming at the back of her neck when he placed his hands on either side of her head.

He leaned towards her face and said in almost a whisper, "Aren't you afraid of me?"

Soo-ji swallowed the lump in her throat and looked at him from one eye to the other.

"No..." Her small voice answered. "I... I think, deep down, you're a good guy."

And with that, she ducked under his arm and ran off.

Yoongi straightened up and watched her figure get smaller and smaller as she ran down the corridor.

Good... guy...?
