Callen only lifted his index finger to his lips "shh.. it's none of your business. Stay out." He growled as calmly as before. His eyes flashed with distain as he jerked his thumb towards the door and hugo practically crawled towards the exit but to his dismay Zenovia opened it for him.

Hugo stood up straight and grabbed her by the forearm, dragged her back to the living room closing the door shut behind him. Took a few long breaths, Zenovia wore a puzzled expression but kept silent "Throw him out. Right now!"

"What gotten into you?" Zenovia's Brows raised and pulled together. He sounded like he was in a hurry to put out a fire.

"Zeno, he is Not good! You need to understand!" He firmly gripped her shoulders Zenovia noticed he was furious before but now he talking frantically scared.

"Alright! Do you both fight?" Zenovia Knitted brows and narrowed her eyes.

"He's pretending Zenovia! Trust me." He leaned in closer to her while she stared at him wide eyed, Brows furrowed.

"Pretending? He did something? Calm down and Tell me clearly" She soothingly patted his shoulders as she stroked them. He was panting. Worried and confused, she frowned.

"Nothing." He sighed defeated. It was no use telling her when she is growing attached to him. She nodded more to herself - determined and went straight past him pushing open the door separating the two. "What did I miss?" She sounded accusing, Hugo feared callen might kill her brutally for her behavior once he was done with her. Callen tsked regretting not killing him earlier when he had the chance to.

'Nothing important.' her screen lit up with Callen's text.

"Nothing important?" She said out loud.

Hugo helplessly nodded in agreement "just business talk." He said Clarifying.

"What business?" Confused Zenovia voice came out offended. Callen never talked business with her. hell! he never revealed his job to her. She was disappointed. They didn't really talked much because she thought if she talked and he typed long paras it would become tiring for him and boring for both. But even short general talks were impossible with him.

"He works in a lot of companies and we actually met in a few meetings and some other occasions.. so just catching up.." hugo wondered if telling her half truth was valid that he fed her. Zenovia was at a loss for words. She was hurt. She turned to callen who was planning to get him executed the moment he steps outside.

Was she gonna complain why he didn't tell Her that? But won't he think she's being clingy asking for every single detail of his personal life? But when did he ever opened up to her? Maybe she should stop trying to get close. He was uncomfortable with her afterall. Zenovia exhaled audibly her mind having a conference of its own. She didn't did 'getting close' stuff but since she was being drawn to the guy without protest it was odd. She just decided to give up on callen if he can't bring himself to trust her with casual information too. She can't force him. Callen felt a tinge of pain in his chest seeing the hurt in Zenovia's eyes.

"Is that it?" She stayed irritatedly. They both nodded in unison "Then why the hell are you making it such a a big deal!?" She practically yelled at hugo before storming out of the room and slaming the door as she went leaving the two alone. She was more angry with herself and her situation. It too much for the day.

Before heading for the bed Zenovia wrote a few things for the next day because she didn't plan to step in his area for as long as she can avoid.

'Sorry for the trouble. I'll leave early in the morning and it's your day off so I won't disturb your sleep So good morning and bye too. I might as well be out the whole night so don't wait for me.'

She stuck the note on the fridge just because he will worry. Leaving notes for someone for the first time excited her.

"Leave." Callen seethed when Hugo stood like a statue in the middle of his room, not moving. He decided to take action himself if persuading Zenovia isn't helping.

Callen was under covers ready to sleep when Hugo glanced at him one last time before leaving determined.

On his way out he also noticed the note in Zenovia's writing for Callen, he Clenched his jaw this was the last thing he wanted to see but something dark flickered in his eyes. A lot changed in his absence, if he would've been here the situation would be in his control right now but He generally was always out for work so Zenovia eventually gave up waiting for him, Their status of friendship never got the chance to update.

From the shadows Callen's sharp wolf-like eyes followed hugo until he faded in the darkness of his own house.
