Slid Keys to the table,
Apron on,
She got to cut the veges lost in thoughts,
Silver revived the vibe of the kitchen,
Doorbell rang, rounding the granite counter she sprinted to the door."Guess who?" Hugo jumped and hug her dragging inside while closing the as he held her up.
"What" she slapped his hand. "Is" wiggled her legs "up with you!??" And he lets her down with a toothy smile.
"I smell something burning." Her eyes widened and she rushed back to unmount the meat bar which was near to transform into coal, "I almost forgot. Join in! Make way, I'm bringing the food."
"Hey! And fill silver's plate so he'll have something to chew on white we're at it." She ordered emerging from the kitchen area to the dining table.
He was on it without any protest.
"So what's the good news!" She chimed in once they were near done with the dinner.
"Your freeloader is gone." She threw at him the first thing her hand caught on.
"That's not good to say. Anyways, you get free early these days" she smirked raising her brow to receive the secret.
"Zen. Is he really gone? No strings attached?" She nodded as seriously as he asked. The question was pointless yet she kept my hope up.
"I'm reducing my work load. I'll keep the beach. I'm cutting ties with my folks."
"Family business?"
He nodded. "Mhmm"
"It's a blessing to be able to inherit something treasured from generations." She remarked.
"In some cases." He washed the plate
"Yeah. You're always free to pursue your own path." She wiped it keeping it on the rack.
After doing the dishes, they finally got to crash the sofa, Silver accompanied too with full energy.
Morning came soon.
Hugo was gone, she was left with a blanket.
Her routine ended as soon as it started.
This time she decided to spend the night on the beach, so instead of turning in home she sped up to the ocean.
Silver kept barking throughout the unknown way, which was ignored nonetheless,
"Come on, it's fun!" She opened the rooftop of the car to distract the dog.
She didn't needed the free pass, she was known by people, a regular, Hugo's close friend. She almost considered herself as a part of the family.
This time a newcomer was a subject of talk to the workers.
Silver, The Dog.
He accepted by all in no time while Zenovia crashed the barbeque.
The cool water laps at her feet, fizzing and bubbling like brine. Even the moon is beaming in her eyes,
Wind caresses her face.
Waves afar roar and roll down, crashing onto the shore with a soft hiss, peeling away at the deep bronze sand beneath her feet.
Without second thought, she plunges into the blue-green water, A chill surges through, but a small wave washes it away.
She flapped and kicked water further and further, she returns to the shore as a wave comes tumbling towards her.
Every fibre of her being hums with adrenaline. And before she knows it, she's beneath the wave, soaring like an eagle, the force propelling her forward.
Except I'm going so fast, it's almost as if the wind is flying with me as she surges up for air.
Subsequently she decides to spend the night out in the resort here rather than going back to an empty house.
Hugo's away to another country on business trip too.
Keys were granted, she didn't had to do much, just climb up to the room and to bed, which she did.
Loud music and shrieks of youngsters mixed with enthusiastic elders singing folk songs was the vibe of the place,
DJs loved by the night ups had notched up the energy,
Beach Games were a regular activities among the locals, the tourists were excited to an extent for the same.
To sum up all the business was going well.
Night fell, moonlight filtered in from the window through the curtains she didn't bother to close.
The sound irritated silver, but Zenovia was long asleep,
Silver also got relaxed on the warmest side of the suite, trying to shut out the noise as much possible from his furry ears.
Zenovia woke up alarmed to the sound of silver sharp sequential barks.
His squeals were the same as last time when an unknown old intruder took over the house, with several number of armed men on guard.
She wasn't hurt last time,
She could make out from the shadows, black pants and army shoes, as well she could describe for herself, she froze.
Silver launched himself jumping up as high up to their chest, now that her eyes were adjusted to the partial darkness as half the light was blocked my a number of men, she noticed, guns, long ones, she saw silver hurt the front two,
But the other four who were hidden behind the first two came into view had already started for her, she scooted downed and out the door for her life, she ran through the gallery,
But the trained men were fast enough,
She struggled,
Kicked in air, punched particularly no-one.
The men shared a look and decided best to drug her.
She fell unconscious as the dose surged through her veins, she couldn't take the pain,
Once they confirmed she was down for deep slumber, they carried her out and away,
Silver was left behind wounded, he wasn't asked to be brought,
