"Have your kissed your girl night?" The Blonde twirled his folk as he mused ladyly.

"Mind your tongue, Antonio." Callen sat with a thud.

"Yeah, Right. Where is your beauty. We haven't introduced properly. Did we?" Slapping his thigh the old man thundered to Laughter, "when Gerard approached her! She was a sight to see. Pale and god oh! The bloody seen it it might have turned into." the black haired one snickered. "If only Arlet hadn't leaked the news, sometimes I wonder how do you get the updates when you're not Supposed to know!" His laughter turned into Anger.

"Let's eat, quietly, gentlemen." Arlette, who was watching her son from across the dining table, was boiling in anger, she interrupted with adequacy.

Callen breathed out heavy sigh. "She's cooling off. She needs time."

"What happened dear? Is everything alright? She angry?" Arlet almost got up to reach him. "No. I told her the truth. I told her everything she needs to know." The table quieted after he spoke. Only the sounds of cutlery echoed in the dining hall.
The dim lightings matched the mood.

"Is there any progress in Amber's case?" Callen asked worried.

"No." Antonio toneless echoed.

"Come down once you've talked with her."

"Yes, papa." Callen went upstairs with a plate of food. 'She must be hungry, but it's not the right time for her to mix with my family. if you ask me I'd rather shut her in for a lifetime and only let her see me and that's the only person she needs to know.'

He sees her with a file she shouldn't be looking into.

It angered him.

"Zenovia. You should not touch other people's stuff." He said sternly. It pricked her but she maintained her smile.

He stood at the door, she stood near his sofa stand adjacent to the window, opposite to the door.

"You said I'm yours." She folded the file back onto it's original place. "Which makes you mine." She breathed out. She was crying all along now her voice became hoarse. "So it shouldn't bother you since I touched my own stuff." She neared him. As she did, he saw her tear streaked eyes, the water had dried but the pain remained.

He took a sharp breath in. "Eat something." She nodded, took the plate and sat back on the couch." He smirked later at what she just admitted.

"Now that I have seen. Tell me." She chewed as she said.

"What?"

"Who's amber?"

"My sister."

"Where is she?"

"Not here."

"Then where? Callen!" She groaned. "You're not being cooperative here." She whined. He chuckled. She gave her the look. He sighed.

"She's abducted. We're still finding from whom. We don't know where she is. I'm not even sure she's alive." He exhaled.

"Haven't you seen him the last time you got beaten to death?"

"No. It was dark. I couldn't. Besides he wore a mask. Wait! How do you know that?" He narrowed his eyes at her.

She had put two and two together.

"Just a guess. Continue please."

"I had brought her out for a walk."

She interrupted. People say they brought their 'Dogs' out for a walk "Why?" It seemed odd for a girl to be in that place.

"She's my sister. Our priority is to keep her safe. So our father doesn't let her outside. I play the good brother's role, whenever I come home I take her out for a stroll. She's kept protected, since childhood."

"Poor kid. How old is she?"

"21. She's supposed to be married by now. Look what heaven brought down." He made a pained expression.

Zenovia felt like bad for them. But everyone has to pay a price someday.

"What happened that day?" Her sad eyes were still challenging.

"What?" Confused he acted smart.

"Don't play dumb. I have your reports memorized. What's left is handing over the information to the forensic department to sequence it all down for me." She said with authority. He noticed her shine back, victorious he didn't ruin her mood telling the truth that she cannot contact people outside.

He raised his hands in surrender. "Okay. You win. I followed them. They had boxed her in the helicopter. She was drugged, I was too. It was not a fair fight, as you had guessed. All the fours were on me. I was out of weapons. They had her. I can't risk her life. Though Hector doesn't care, the girls are seen as weakness, just as amber turned out to be, according to him. Though we ignore his ignorance, for the respect he had gained over the years. But personally I fought Till I wasn't able to move a limb. They probably left me there seeing I was breaths away from death. I had reduced to begging her back, but they had already flown away." Picturing the horrific events of that day, callen eyes turned moist.

Zenovia felt hurt too. She had polished the plate empty already.

She approached callen daringly and hugged him providing her all sympathy from her own experiences.

She rubbed his back. He caught his head in his hands.

"It's all my fault." He groaned.

"Sometimes. It's meant to be." She cood.

She dragged him to the bed. "You know. The last day when we were in the car, together, I had planned to let you go." He had suspected that, he didn't said anything, though he was hurt. He had seen too much and she felt exposed, vulnerable, it was going to happen, but the following night, that was unexpected. "But the other morning, when there was no trace of you.." She sniffed. He held her hands tight. Resting his head on the pillow, and hers on his his chest, "..I was lost." Her cheeks flushed, her feared tear soaked his shirt. "I never thanked you enough for saving my life, kai."
