"Your Ex reported in Prison and the news following says he's out on bail, Which is sadly true. It's scary how they publicise every details of your move once you're in limelight." I gulp in more air. In my own chaos Hubert's case totally slipped off my mind "on the other hand, at the same time, you're seen with Triveno's family hier. Your photo arms in arms with the tall muscled dude went viral." My frown deepen as I let his words sink in, my hanging jaw drying up  suspended in air. Fuck! How did that happen, he continues mercilessly, "Plus, Ashley refuses to leave the prison, its been recorded she chants the name of the feared mafia leader suspected to be after her." He snickers. "As if." He thinks it's all ridiculous. "She screams like a mental patient reciting he'd kill her once she is released. Who will believe that!?" It's unbelievable to him, he laughs off the bluff but I get the chills. The thoughts are accelerating inside my head. I want them to slow so I can breathe but they won't, Is it my blood pressure rising? I exhale deep breaths as I continue the procedure. He notices my astonishment and reads the silence.

His tone changes to that of an accuser "But I saw him with you, with my own eyes," my chest tightens, he knows. He had been there. It almost feels like he's an investigator and I'm the culprit. Anything I admit. "eyes don't lie. I'm sure old to remember him at the time, but every news following that made sense. I can identify, it was him, carrying you in his arms on the airport. Last time you visited Ashley was when you left the hospital and that man went after you. I saw that, I recalled it when I saw the news, I remembered him to be presise. At the prison visiterbook your entry is written but the presence of another man behind you is only in talk. How can I doubt that?"
My heart is hammering inside my chest like it belongs to a rabbit running for its skin.

My lips quiver. "Is this what you said is the important thing you wanted to talk about on  our last call?" I ask scared. "No. I thought you knew all this. At this point I can't tell if this is one of your other games your scheming." He finishes his glass of water.

Damn it's almost time I have to leave. More people have gathered on the dance floor. But I can't. There is more we have to talk about. I can't just leave yet. I am not sure if we get another time like this to talk in private.

Either I go back on time or they'll find me.

Damnit!

A realisation washes over me.

I am now aware I am proceeding on risk this point forth until our talk ends.

"I know I can interfere and stop all of this, peacefully." He says as a Matter of fact.

No! If he uses his power it will get messy and dirty, instead of calming down we'll be hit with a new wave of calamity, peaceful is far from reality. He might not want to get into this. He will have to pay a price he'd regret in the end.

"No, you can't. So, Don't try." It's past that point.
Its a message of warning. He stiffens. I can't pacify his fears, for I am at the door of death myself.

He was sitting bleary-eyed and unshaven at the table, His eyes glazed over blankly and his head nodded forward.

He has my kid in his hands. I have entrusted something precious in his security.

He should not involve.

"It's hubert. He spends all day meeting with various prosecutors but.. you know. There's no progress. There's a third party involved, no one is ready to go against them. My petty kid is forced to face the acquisition alone. He's innocent zenovia! Can you do something?" He's practically reduced to begging
I can't see him in this state and am ready to fight all odds for his sake.

But. Hubert has been involved with the drugs trade illegally is the truth and selling that stuff from Gavin's clinic and hospitals in clandestine is the truth. I have in turn saved my father-in-law from the false accusations that hubert under normal conditions could have sued his own father Someday when his crimes would be Exposed. I didn't leave a door open for him.
