By the time I was out.
Callen was gone.

Empty room it was, dim colors matched my mood.

I decided to go down myself wearing another of Arlet's casual spring dress, it was there on the bed,

Callen left it for me?

The round stairs lined with glass railings reflected the light, the mansion is magnificent as usual.

I saw no one, I had slippers onn, which muted my presence on the marble floors.

Huge Double doors filled up the dim walls. I knew one door led to the dining hall, another opens to a living room and dining room is possibly connected to the living room.

Callen should be in the study, it's Afternoon already and lunch was brought to me in the room itself. I guess he doesn't want me inn yet.

I remembered the way to study room from the first time I had been there. Two floors up.

There is elevator but since callen used only stairs with me, I did too.

On the way I saw no workers. They always appear when they need them. How? I'm lost too.

I turned the knob, it's click sound echoed through the empty halls, I took deep breath in as I stepped inside since.

I saw callen with his dad, hector, his name was, callen mentioned. The breathtaking blonde, Antonio eyes snapped to mine, following the slightly long haired one, Gerard gave me a once over before going back to turning the pages of some file. Callen followed Antonio's eyes and turned to find me his eyes widened a fraction, hector looked over too to see who distracted callen for which dad's lecture was ignored.

Clearly, they looked annoyed. "Discipline your woman callen." Hector gutteral tone scared me.

They didn't want me here. I just disturbed them.

I pursed my lips and stepped back holding callen's eyes apologetically.

Callen held forward his hand, I nodded. A sign to stay.

"I think we'll leave right now." Callen turned to them. Everyone's eyes widened in shock. "Right now?" Gerard exclaimed. Callen's aura had been authoritative.

"Yes." His suit fitted him like tailored for just this muscular body.

"There's a ball tomorrow." Hector waved his hand around in panick.

"I'm not interested." Callen turned on his heels.

"It's not polite, callen. Amber is gone too." Arlet appeared behind me. Their eyes fixed in a battle before his jaw clenched. "Okay. We'll stay."

"Good. That's my boy." Arlet rejoiced. I looked at her painted face. She smiled shaking my hands as if it's our first meet.

Callen quick with his long strides grabbed my waist and led me out and down stairs and into our room. "Guess. We'll have to stay until the yearly gathering is over."

"Where to?" Where does he wants to take us. "To my villa, los Angeles." He pulled me to his lap, lifting my chin with his finger.

"Why?" His eyes racked over me.

"It'll cut you off some slack. It's congested here. I fear, Someday if you get lost here and end up in the same basement you were first brought to. I don't want you to see the violence here. I fear, I'll loose you." He tightened his grip around me. Goosebumps, Arlet, I could see her in his eyes. He doesn't wants me to be in her mother's place, scared and dead inside.

I softened, he buried his head in the crock of my neck. I patted his head. Silky his hairs were, his skin rough.

I got tingles when he breathed in my sensetive hollow.
