Callen and zenovia finally breathed the fresh air out in the parking lot. Gavin had arranged a car for the two to return back home but before that she wanted to visit Ashley one last time. They hadn't really inte

So off to prison they were.

Long drive short.

Zenovia sat across Ashley, a glass wall separating the two.

"What?" Ashley barked uninterested but zenoiva was in a mood.

"Don't get excited too soon..." Zenovia drilled her with her gaze as she continued

"..Funny your dad will bail you out in no time..." Hers lifted and fixated on zenovia, now she waited what zenovia was trying to get at.

"...You will be free.-"

"Cut the crap! What the hell are you trying to get at?"

"Leave the leiteo family and me in peace. It's for the best."

"I'm no longer interested in the guy or his money but I won't let their business sail smoothly." She said as she smirked.

"You won't gain anything. Try doing something fruitful-" zenovia was trying her best to stay polite but something had triggered inside her.

"If that's it? You can leave. I'm already over that shit" she slapped the table.

"Well then. Nice meeting you. Thanks for your time." Zenovia pursed her lips as she stood trying to stay put. But she didn't stepped out without a warning.

"For the record. You're here because of me, not the leiteos so come at me. Not my people. I'll gladly show you your place."

Ashley didn't said a word chewing her lip as she thought of thousand plans to strangle her throat.

Zenovia made her way out in blooming confidence, but just as she reached her car getting through all the formalities Callen passed her heading to the visiting room. Zenoiva frowned in surprise. She has doubts but she'll have to wait until he comes out. Till then she's better wait in the car.

He was visiting the prison for the same reason zenovia had ― Ashley.

"My sweet cried..Heard You were the reason..for causing her..inconvenience." He didn't even care to glance at her as he sat uninterested.

'Inconvenience' was a heavy word coming from him.
She flinched, the word 'sweet' from him? she offended the wrong person.
Him visiting her especially for warning..He might as well kill her.. she prayed, her hands joined.. she couldn't breathe. It might be her last interaction with a human before she is thrown in hell.

"I-I -am s-so sorry Mr. Tre-trevan-" she panicked.

"Don't fuc*ing utter my name!" He banged the table as he roared. She fell to the ground..But didn't dare to move further.. Though a glass wall separated them but his power affects people beyond barriers.

That was it. She was gonna die, she thought.
Callen doesn't care about the prison walls or the government, everyone knows he rules them too.

"P-pl-ease.. spare my life. I-I will never again..ple-please. My tar-tar..g-get was Zenovia, I-I don-didn-'t kn-knew yo-yo-ur person w-was h-hurt." She dared to reason in between her son's not knowing the truth. Caleb gritted his teeth squinting his eyes in a frown in a pure disgust and irritation. In a blink his gun was out aiming her forehead, her eyes bugled out fixed on the weapon in his hands as she swallowed. Cold sweat trickled down her skin. "Si-sir. I be-beg..." her voice caught in her throat and tears rolled down her cheeks.

"I will shoot you through this hole.. Swipe you away like some dirt under my shoe..and I won't regret a bit.. if you have any hope. Don't be mistaken.. You are not dead yet because she wish to torture you to death..Once you're released." The terror his voice held was no less than his deadly aura.

He pocketed his gun back hidden under his shirt. "Stay away from her. If you become her favorite pass time.. I'll exterminate you regardless." He held himself back because jealousy was taking the best of him. He couldn't bear someone else occupying her brain more than him. He could be zenovia's enemy if that's what takes her to engage with him,

He'd go to any extent.

If this keeps up it would be hard for him to leave her alone in peace.

".. Its her.." her widened eyes met Callen's which he didn't liked.

She froze. "..Zenovia.." Ashley started it in a whisper figuring out who was he siding with all this time,

The realisation shuttered her.

He didn't said anything. Just left silently. Something she should've figured out long ago. He despised witless fools more than anything.

Zenovia's nap was short lived as she heart the car door being shut by Callen as he seated beside her. "So.. how did it went with her?" She yawned starting the engine, he adored her.

"Cool..I guess." He sounded unsure to her. This was not the answer she was expecting. She needed details of their talks. But coming this far she has realised he was never the one to explain. She concentrated in the road. She wouldn't be compensating with him now if she wasn't planning to send him away.

She had thought it through. She came with a baggage of troubles and it has become life threatening now. She didn't saved his life to risk it for hers. If he will not. She will sever all the ties connecting the two.

She gripped stirring wheel tighter, determined against her will. Callen head turned to window when car moved forward and was still watching far beyond the scenery but didn't miss the slight change in zenovia's behavior.
