Callen's footsteps and Breeze were the only sounds I had my concentration on I was thinking of asking callen to let me walk by my self, As I was wide awake now and totally distracted by his cologne,

And then

I blinked

Bang!

It happened.

Everything slowed,

Callen had his gun out and pointed in other direction in seconds.

A bang! Echoed

Bang! Bang! Bang!

I turned my head towards the sound which came from far, behind kelan.

What I saw had my heart leaping out in my throat.

The guards that have been blocking us, guarding us, from the public eye, or any possible attack had their Guns out in outwards towards possible targets.

One of them had blocked me and now his back covered in blood. I saw blood coating his neck and coat. He had shielded me with his chest, The bullet could be in my temple right now if this guy hadn't been there. My fear spiked.

And then Stampede, followed by Chaos. More helpers with headsets in hands marched to blocked the panicking mob. But it was happening in a distance, the fight for survival is still going on here. Those men in camouflaged clothes were for civilians, not to disturb us.

Few clicked photos my shut my eyes hiding my face in callen's embrace, he had tightened his hold for protection.

Kellen rolled me over and my legs were weak. But I was able to stand. I thought I am going to touch the ground instead he quickly tossed me over to another guard which was also in Black, callen ordered, "take her to the safe house!" My mouth was too dry to object, too messed up to think,

he is right, but..

Leaving without him...?

He is the master of this field. He knows what he is doing.

I am just too terrified.

"Yes sir!" pulling out his own gun.
It is happening real quick.
It was all gun fight from there.
All I heard was screams and blood being spilled over.
More fighters mixed in now. Everyone dressed similar, fighting, I couldn't differentiate, I couldn't make out which were our people and Who are the enemy?

A sudden shock tense my muscles,
In this clash my wide frightened eyes search for Karen, but the but the man who took me was running in the opposite direction. My thumping accelerated with each bump I felt in gut as he ran like a mad dog, jarring me.

My heart skipped a beat.

I went numb.

My eyes blurry.

The brave built man who was carrying me was shot too My heart was to collide with the bullet but skillfully this trained dude had heard from where it was launched and twirled around blocking the bullet with his arm instead.
Right in front of me! People who I should be saving right now were giving their life for me.

I probably couldn't match their speed and trusting my wobbly legs to run at this point? they knew better!

This injured man tossed me over to the other man ready for me, as soon as the substitute guy balanced me on his shoulders like a potato sack, upside down I saw my previous carrier fall taking more Bullets meant for me. We were heading out of the airport, it didn't seem like the usual way to exit,

For I have never seen armed muscled men lining each corner of a shady lightened lobby till we reach stretched black limousine between two similar sedans packed with gunmen. Nope. Never even saw that happening to others.

I was in a mess how many people were giving their life for me a person like me? A nobody like me! Yet everyone place their lives in their palm for me.

Kellen is still fighting.

I don't know if he is down too.

They ensured my safety with eight guards on me. Two on my left side two on my right side, two in front, one as driver, which I guess he is trained in combat. He is one of callen's. He has to be a fighter. The car is spacious so it isn't like I was being sandwiched between the four, four sat across from me. The vehicle looked as shiny like how celebrities would use. It indeed is expensive one. The tires screeched picking up speed. As the scenery moved, in this suffocation I hope to find Callen wherever the stop is. I want to scream. I cannot. I had tear streaked pale face I realised. My knees were still numb though. lifted my lids to search others, everyone were stone-faced. No one reacted. Expressionless, lips drawn in thin line. Flexed muscles, Gun on point. I'm sure the windows were bulletproof, too. The corner fighter pushed the button among many buttons, I gulped noticing everything from the corner of my eyes bending forward, a cabin clicked open revealing a rifle.

I averted my gaze wrapping my hands around my trembling self.

All four windows scrolled down at the same time and every corner guy shooted back aiming the cars following behind in rapid succession.

The reverberations of the recoils were deafening enough yet I was able to hear the faint cry of the followers we shot down. I shrunk, my heart throb in my ears, loud and irregular, but I barely heard it, for my mind was clouded with fear,

and soon everything stopped.

I must have dozed off 'cause we were at different lane and no unknown car behind except ours. The doors clicked open.
I scooted out in the open deserted area.

This time only four surrounded me. Almost hiding me. I followed their footsteps.

Another car was waiting a step away!

We hoped directly into that. Sped at another route.

I finally gained courage to voice my fear. "Where is callen?" Simple question. It'll be enough to get answer to that. Even when I can tell. I just want to listen, hope, him to be alive.
