Feral chickens scamper
From my approaching feet
But only just enough
So that my feet
They do not meet
In fact they are quite bold
If indeed the truth be told
With their feathers all a ruffle
It is apparent
They are looking for a scuffle
The local Dogs and Cats beware
Mess with these chickens
Don't you dare
They are tough and mean
And come in pairs
(I just saw a guy ride by with hundreds of eggs-
I wonder how he pulled it off)
