They burn their hair
and blister their scalp
then they turn and bitch
societal pouts
then braid and bleach it
twist it and curl it about
for the demands of man
in man's eyes land
then with fierce pride
and quite a stammer
they proclaim and hail,
it is a practical matter
I guess I am just a man
and not one to judge
I'll just smile and hold
and watch her hair unfold
