Chapter Eighteen: The Mind of Peace

Alex hadn't hit the ground. She knew as soon as she woke up. Her head didn't hurt like last time. Someone had caught her but who. She didn't know she felt restored if that was possible. She felt relaxed for one of the first times in her life. She made herself want more power and she had paid the consequences. She got up and walked down the stairs to the first floor of her house. She found her phone on the couch. It had a new message. It was from Unknown.

Hey Hazel got delayed. She should be there in about ten minutes.

Great she's late. Alex was going to get up but when she was about to get up she heard a knock at her door. She turned and looked at her door. She was interrupted by someone. Then she looked to see when that message was sent. Ten minutes ago. She ran to the door and opened it with force.

"Whoa, chill down on the force there Alexandra," spoke the girl Alex could only assume was Hazel.

"Yeah I didn't need you to keep waiting. After all you did get delayed."

"Yeah cops wanted to ask me about my brother Devon."

"Oh, yeah, he was here yesterday. I'm not sure where he went."

"Yeah, well I haven't seen him since I was like eleven or twelve. That was quite a few years ago."

"Why so long?"

"Rather not say. If that is fine by you."

"It is"

With that they fell silent. Hazel was the first to talk again.

"Well your first lesson is to find your inner peace and the strength not to pass out. It is hard I know personally. I had passed out multiple time while I was training."

"Okay can we start tomorrow though I want to know more about my power. And why I can do this"

"What can you do."

Alex then made the flame mirage of her self again and let Hazel study her and the mirage. Both Alex's stood and watched as Hazel looked at them. Alex wanted to know how this was possible. She needed to know how it was possible, but was Hazel able to tell her. Alex was super curious about this power that she had. She would find out.
