Mike's POV

I got home and closed the door reenacting one of those cliché movie scenes where the person who's in love gets their back against the closed door and slowly falls to the floor smiling. My sister Nancy was home already and she saw me doing this from the living room.

- What are you doing, lover boy? - she asked while laughing out loud.
- Leave me alone, Nancy. - I said, not being able to hide my smile.
- Were you with El? - Nancy asked, while wiggling her eyebrows.
- Yeah... Don't you have anything better to do? Like Jonathan or something?
- I'm doing "that" later. - she answered with a devious smirk.
- Disgusting. Ugh!
- Just because you and El don't do it doesn't mean you should blame it on me... - Nancy said while laughing.
- Just shut up, Nancy! - I said, walking up the stairs.
- Just so you know, Jonathan is coming to dinner later! - she yelled.
- I don't care! - I yelled back from my bedroom. I actually cared, Jonathan was a pretty great guy and he usually brought Will with him.

I went into my bathroom and looked myself in the mirror. I took a few seconds to look at my freckles. I didn't even think someone would consider them beautiful. But she did. El thought I looked cute. What a good thought that was.
I fixed my hair a bit eventhough it would always end up messy anyways. I went back into my bedroom and put on some music. I put on a random tape and "Dancing With Myself" by Billy Idol started playing. It had become one of my favorite songs lately so I turned the volume up and basically danced with myself.
I don't know how to dance. I can't dance to any type of beat or song so when I'm alone I dance like a lunatic. I jump around, feel my hair jump with me, move my feet in all kinds of way and play air guitar with my arms. It's surely embarassing and somewhat stupid but sometimes you really feel the urge to dance. I loved songs that make you feel that urge, they got me in happier moods. Although, I didn't need to feel happier. Life was awesome at the moment.

The night came and I heard Hopper's car arrive in the neighbourhood. That meant El was protected now. That made me relax.
Will and Jonathan rang the doorbell and came into the living room where Nancy and I had been waiting for them. As soon as my sister saw him, she ran towards him and gave him the tightest hug ever, making him even cough.

- Jesus Nancy, we saw eachother yesterday. Why the strong hug? - Jonathan said with wide eyes.
- I just missed you so much. - Nancy said, looking at him like he was the solution to all of her problems.
- You needy baby. - Jonathan laughed and kissed her passionately.
- Gross. - both Will and I gasped.

We had dinner with our parents and Holly and they all stayed in the living room watching some movie that Jonathan had picked up.
Will and I went to the backyard and just threw a baseball at eachother while talking.

- Today was fun! - Will said.
- It sure was! Hey, do you think the party liked El's company?
- They did! And so did I. I think we are going to be best friends some day.
- Don't try and steal her from me! - I said, jokingly.
- No way, dude. I would never do that. And you know who I like... - he said, smiling.
- Yeah, you two should hang out tomorrow. - I suggested.
- I don't know... I'm to shy to ask him out...
- Oh, come on Will! James would be lucky to go out with you!
- I don't think he likes me like that...
- Of course he does! Don't you see the way he looks at you?!
- You know what? - Will said. - I'm going to ask him out!
- That's my William!
- Don't call me that, Michael!
- Shut up, dumbass! - I said, laughing and throwing the ball at his arm.
- Now you.
- What about me?
- When are you going to ask El out on a date? - Will asked me. I got all red and I couldn't articulate the words coming out of my mouth.
- I can't... I am... I don't like El! - I said, obviously looking stupid saying this lie.
- Yeah, sure thing.
- I don't!
- Say that without looking away from my eyes. - he knew the way to know if I was lying.
- I... I give up. Okay, I like her...
- I knew it! - Will screamed.

El heard the scream and put her head out of her bedroom window.
- Hey! Keep it down guys! - she said laughing.
- Hello El! - Will waved.
- Hi Will! - she waved back with a smile. - Hi Mike! - this time, she just said with a smirk.
- Hi El... - I answered back with a shy smirk.
- I'm going inside, stop yelling please, I'm trying to read! See you tomorrow, Will!

- See? - Will asked.
- What? - I answered.
- That stupid smirk on your frog face. You like her!
- Okay, I do!
- So ask her out!
- I can't. I'm not sure if she likes me...
- Swear you won't tell her I told you! - Will said, toning his voice down. - She likes you too!
- Oh my God! Okay... I will ask her out.
