El's POV

I went to bed thinking of Mike like I do ever since we met.
I was going on a date with him tomorrow. Wait a second! It was going to be our first official date, like alone. Should I be worried? I mean, we have been together alone since we started to date but this was an official date. I had so many questions in my mind, I decided to grab the phone and call Max.

Hello?

Hi Max, it's El!

El! What's up?

I'm just a little worried about something.
Tomorrow is my first official date with Mike and I don't know what to do or wear or act like...

You're such an overthinker! You and Mike are perfect for eachother!

I know!

Don't worry so much!
Wear something we bought today, like that red skirt with the white top!
And don't try too hard. On Lucas and I's first date, he took me to see this hockey game and eat a burguer after and it was great because I didn't worry about it not going perfectly!

That's a great advice! Thanks Max!

Where are you guys going?

He said he wanted to go to this new comic book store downtown and eat at Benny's after.

New comic book store? There's no new comic book store in Hawkins!

What?

Maybe he's just covering up the place, making you think you're going somewhere and you're actually going to somewhere else.

Maybe there's one and you haven't heard of it, red.

Stop calling me "red"!!!

Haha, well I have to go to sleep, I'll update you tomorrow.

Maybe Max was in fact wrong about the comic book store. I didn't think much of it and went to sleep 5 minutes after our call.

I woke up next morning and noticed Mike's bedroom was empty. I found it odd because Mike always sleeps in and I usually am the first one to wake up.
I decided I should go take a shower and dress the outfit Max suggested me.
After all that, I heard the doorbell ring. I came downstairs and opened the door, finding Mike there with his bike lying on my front yard and a white rose on his hand.

- This is for you. - Mike said, smirking shyly.
- You're so sweet. I have nothing for you so please accept a breakfast offer!
- I'll accept it!
- Good. Pancakes or Eggo's?
- Eggo's. Always. - Mike said, making me smile thinking about how we were alike.

We ate together and got out of the house afterwards. We rode his bike downtown and pulled over the back of a building. It was a reay big building compared with all the other ones. It had like 4 floors and really big windows in the top floor.

- Is this the comic book store? - I asked him, while we started walking to the front.
- Not exactly...
- What is it then?
- Well, I had been looking for a place like this to show you but I couldn't find one. - Mike explained as we climbed the fire stairs in the side of the building. - But then, I remembered this place. And I really thought you should see it for yourself.

We continued to climb in silence until we reached the last floor. I was intrigued to my very core and Mike helped me climb the last step, holding my hand.

- This is all for you. - Mike said.

I looked in front of me and the top floor filled with windows was a big garden, filled with different flowers, fruits and plants of all kinds. It was a mix of colours and smells and the air was so refreshing. The light that came in through the big windows made the flowers shine and made every little detail about them stand out. If there was heaven, this would be what it would look like, for me.
I can not explain my love for flowers. They made me appreciate the beauty in the world and think about happiness. It was so much deeper than just that but I couldn't get the right words out of my mouth when it came to explain my love for them. The same happens with Mike.

- Do you like it? - Mike asked, with his eyes wide open, looking like a kid.

I couldn't aswer due to being so mesmerized by all that surrounded me so I started to cry and jumped into his arms.

- I love you so much!
- I love you too, El.
- You really listen. You remember. You make me so happy. I can't believe you did this. You knew this is one of the two things that make me the happiest ever.
- What's the other one?
- You.

After he heard me say he made me the happiest on earth, Mike grabbed my neck and kissed my lips so softly I felt like I had died and gone to paradise. As soon as he pulled away, I opened my eyes and saw him, looking at me, with his dark brown eyes that turned into an intense brown under the sun, with his lips so red and plump, with his skin so white and surrounded by thousands of colors, different shades of green and illuminated by all that light and that's when I knew. This boy made this happen. He accepts who I am. He remembers what I like. He gives me strength, love and calm.

He loves me.
