Ena was the perfect babygirl.

She had these light brown almost blonde curls that I could run my fingers through all day. They were so much like her fathers with the way they shined and coiled. Her eyes were dark grey and wide, filled with way more mischeif then a eleven month baby should be allowed to manage.

She had this mouth on her to, one that would get her into so much trouble when she got older. I could already imagine Elijah having to beat her ass over all the trouble she was gonna cause him. Ena was going to be a handful, that much was already clear and I was always telling Elijah that she would only get worse.

It was really entertaining and beautiful watching Elijah interact with his daughter.

She was currently running him all over the house in her diaper screaming nonsense in her special language. He was tryna get her dressed so that we could go to IHop for breakfast before his studio time this afternoon.

"Ena," he shouted in a way that was a little stern but still playful enough that his daughter wasn't really taking him seriously. I was downstairs with Shaun and Nae, who were both laughing at the father and daugher duo.

I shook my head and laughed as well. This had been going on for the past ten minutes and I was beyond amazed at the places the little baby was able to hide upstairs. "You gotta be more stern Elijah." I shouted back.

There was a loud thump followed by a long string of curses from my boyfriend. I could hear Ena laugh in her cute little shrill at her fathers pain before the sound of her tiny little feet running across the hardwood floor echoed through the house.

"Fushit!" She screamed. Shaun and Nae laughed even harder at the little girls mockery of her father.

"Imma beat yo little ass Ena!" Elijah finally shoured in a tone that his baby would take seriously. I kinda felt bad because she was crying now but my stomach was also touching my ribs so I decided that the little diva was just gonna have to get over it.

"You get some clothes on her yet?" Ranae shouted up the stairs.

"Chill out," he shouted back. "I'll be done as soon as she stops squirming."

Shaun chuckled. "Don't have no more kids bro. You can't even get one dressed."

"Shut up nigga." Elijah sourly shouted back down.

"Y'all are just the cutest little family," the waitress cooed as she longingly stared at Ena who was sat in her high chair happily singing to her monkey.

I don't even deny the fact that I wasn't her mother because honestly I'd gotten used to it. Sure Ena looked white but I was light enough that she blended right in with us. Plus she was hands down the cuttest little baby I'd ever seen which would make sense because Elijah was absolutely sexy and I was always being referred to as gorgeous.

Besides the physical aspectes that made Ena look like both of our kid, we also looked like a happy young family.

Elijah was seated across from me at our table with Ena situated between us. We had been laughing and talking before the waitress came while also being able to respond to whatever random and consistent question the toddler asked us.

So I smiled up at the older red headed lady. "Thank you," I say. Elijah gives me a look that I can't really read but it was gone so soon that I couldn't really get a read on it anyway.

He had this smug ass look on his face when the waitress walked away after getting our drink orders. I raised my eye brows giving him a questioning look. "What?" I say when he keeps staring at me.
