laine got ready for school automatically. He didn't want to worry, but he honestly couldn't help doing so because the days were dwindling down, and he had yet to receive any kind of letter from NYADA. He had been scowering the show choir blogs, and he saw a couple of the people saying that they had gotten theirs, but he hadn't. That let his imagination to run wild, and it didn't help that people on the blogs were saying that the rejections were sent out later than the acceptances. He was left feeling irritable, snapping at his mom the previous night when he got home late, and called Kurt and griped. That left him feeling even worse.

He didn't mean to be so mean to his loved ones, but this was really important. He had already gotten acceptance letters from NYU and Columbia, so it wasn't as if he had nothing, but NYADA was so important to him. He just had to get in. Everything was riding on it. Everyone just seemed to be so certain, and it just angered him more. If he was going to get in, where was his letter?

He walked down the stairs and saw both his mom and dad waiting for him, which was weird because his dad usually left early for work. He sat his bag down on one of the barstools, ready to ask what was going on when his mom looked up.

"Good morning, sweetie," she said brightly, coming over to hug him.

"Morning," he muttered, feeling really guilty for how he acted the night before. "I'm sorry for last night. I am just kinda stressed with everything going on."

"As you should be," his father spoke, taking a sip from his mug. "Graduation is a hectic time, and your mother told me that your glee club is being shut down. It's a lot for a young man to take one, especially with finals and worrying about acceptance letters."

"I just-my whole future is riding on this letter," he sighed, sitting down. "I mean, I know I have backups, but there's no place I want to go except NYADA."

"I'm proud of you for applying other places, but it won't be the end of the world," the man said, and Blaine nodded. They had had this talk so many times he lost count. His dad wanted him to attend a general college, that way he didn't have to rely on just theater, but Blaine didn't want that. He may have thought he wanted it, but he didn't. He wanted to be a performer.

"It'll be the end of my world," Blaine replied, resting his chin on his fist. "Kurt didn't get in with his amazing audition last year! How am I supposed to feel knowing that others have gotten their letter while I'm sitting here without one."

"Blaine," his mother spoke, her soft voice comforting. "If you are so worried about not having a letter and wondering about if you got in, why don't you open this."

Blaine watched as she reached around her and retrieved a fat white envelope, the NYADA emblem caught his eye. Suddenly everything stopped because he had known that the mail came later, so where did it come from?

"How-?"

"I got it yesterday, but you were so upset last night that I didn't really have a chance to tell you before you stormed upstairs. I figured that after a good night sleep, you'd be ready for anything it says."

He wasn't mad, not at all because opening it the night before would have left him an emotional wreck. He was refreshed and calm, so he would be ready for anything. He took the packet, looking at his name on the front. This was really it.

"What if I don't get in?" he asked, and he knew that he probably sounded a lot younger than he was. He looked up at them, seriously worried. "I-"

"Blaine," his mother said, reaching across the counter to take his hand. "I believe in you, your father believes in you, and Kurt believes in you. Basically, everyone that has ever met you believes in you and knows that you are the most talented boy in this town. If you don't get in, they don't deserve you."
