It was still raining when they arrived at the hospital. Oikawa almost tripped out of the black car, it's body glistening with the raindrops and harsh light of the hospital windows with the big bold letters glaring down.

He noticed that the man who drove him hadn't come out.
"Are you going to park the car?", Oikawa yelled over the passing cars and the idling of the Subaru.
He shook his head as he answered,"I can't, I have to work from home, I wish I could stay, please tell her that I'll visit her tomorrow as soon as I can.", The man gripped the steering wheel.

The brunette bit his lip then nodded,
"Thank you!"

He slammed the door and ducked toward the overhang. He slipped onto the cream white tile. The brunette looked around wildly, shivering in the cool air the AC made. The main lobby was desolate, no souls in the sitting area, only person that wasn't walking out was the receptionist, and she was on her phone.

He jogged over, heart racing over the speed limit. Tapping on the desk impatiently, he waited for her attention. She glanced up, gave a weak smile and raised a finger as for him to wait.

Frustration ebbed at Oikawa's patience as he noticed she was simply checking her social media. It was only another minute had passed is when his patience cracked.

"Are you done?", He snapped, slamming his hand against the desk. She flinched and looked at him with an embarrassed look. Maybe a little resentment but he could barely give a flying fuck.

"Who are you looking for.", She said distastefully.

Yeah, no, fuck off.

He briefly asked for the Iwaizumi's room number and nearly ran to the elevators. Oikawa wasn't sure how many times he pressed the 3rd floor, but he was low-key hoping it would get him there faster. The elevator door opened way too slowly for the brunette's comfort so he just pushed through the halfway open doors.

Room... What was it...
312...

The wind whirled past him as he sped down the halls, dodging nurses and doctors, trays of medicine, empty wheelchairs as well as other things.

310...
311...

A spiky haired man leaned beside the door, fiddling with his fingers.
Oikawa felt his heartbeat rise once more, this time in anticipation.

"Iwa-chan~", the brunette offered a smile as the other looked up.

A myriad of emotions played across the others face as he straightened himself and headed toward Oikawa, slow at the start, but soon started running up toward him.
The fluffy haired brunette's heart swelled with happiness as he opened his arms, initiating the hug.

Iwaizumi overtook him as he threw his arms around other, squeezing him as though if he didn't Oikawa would run away again. The smell of Hajime's scent filled the other as he nestled his head in the other's shoulder. The smell of an old sweet summer.

They held each other for quite some time, who knows how long before Iwaizumi broke away, keeping a grip on the other's arms.
"I-I'm just-what- why are you here? Your damp! It's raining, where's your jacket? What the hell?"

Oh my Lord did he stutter? How refreshing~

"Eh... It was on impulse, didn't you read my text?"
"Yeah, but I..."

The other looked at him oddly for a moment before letting go of him.

"So, I guess you heard about my mom.", Iwaizumi said in an unnaturally quiet tone.
