Our Future (Mingkwan)

"I can't believe I'm so nervous. Where you this nervous when you married daddy." She asks.

"Yes I was. I kept thinking he was going to change his mind, but he never did." I tell her.

"You thought daddy would change his mind?" She asks looking at me like I'm crazy.

Of course she would, for her entire life her dad and I have been nothing but loving to each other. It's hard for me to believe that I ever thought he would leave me too.

"Do I look ok? Do you think he'll like it?" She asks nervously.

"You look beautiful baby and he's going to love it." I promise her.

"Ming. I think I got the stain....oh baby you look beautiful." Yo says running over to our daughter and looking her over from head to toe.  I turn to our son and smile at him.  I give him one final look over.  Yo did manage to get the stain out.

Who would imagine that at twenty and on his wedding day he would manage to spill something on himself? I ruffle his hair playfully and his eyes grow wide in horror.

"Dad! What are you doing? Daddy did you see? He messed up my hair!" He yells over to Yo.

"Truthfully son there is so much product in your hair hurricane force winds couldn't mess up your hair." I tell him with a smirk.

He doesn't appreciate my humor.

My daughter does though as she cackles loudly at his expense.  I give her a stern look.

"Please don't use that laugh again until you are successfully married. OK?" I warn jokingly.

We don't want her husband to be to change his mind do we? Soon we are all laughing our nerves away.

Yo walks over to me and I wrap my arms around him holding him close.  We look over at our children and smile at how wonderful they look.

"Remember when they were little?" He asks trying to hold back the tears.

How could I ever forget even a moment of their lives? I remember every single thing from the time they were born.

Yo and I decided to go through a surrogate, specifically the girl that had given birth to P'Forth and P'Kit's son. Her name was Cass. I think Yo was trying to prove that Cass didn't cause the problem. After waiting for a year we went through with the process where she donated her eggs and we used our sperm. We implanted two eggs one fertilized from each of us and they both took.

She delivered a healthy set of twins. One girl and one boy.  We named them Theraphat and Thatrapee but we call them Willow and Earth.  They were perfect and I'm sure that Yo wanted to hunt down those other people and show them that the birth mother wasn't the reason for Jay having Down's syndrome.

With the birth of our kids every couple now had children.  We made sure to always get the kids together so that they could have a bond like ours.  A bond that has lasted basically our entire lifetime. 

This bond that has gotten us through the worst lows and the best highs. There was never a moment where we felt alone.

We wanted that for our children and as our families grew larger we still managed to keep this friendship intact.

When the twins turned two P'Pha and P'Beam adopted another child bringing their count to three.  They had adopted another boy a few months after P'Forth and P'Kit finalized on their second adoption.  Around the time our babies were born P'Forth and P'Kit adopted their third child.  Not to be outdone we decided to add a third child when the twins turned three.
