"Yo! Wake up." Hiro shouts while shaking me.

"Huh?" I ask looking around.

"I think you were having a nightmare.  You were restless and crying." He tells me.

Thank goodness that was a dream.  It was so real.  I look up at the clock, damn I slept for four hours.  I look around and people are looking into microscopes, testing blood, and looking through data. That means the answer hasn't been discovered yet.

"What was it about?" Hiro asks.

"You don't want to know." And he really doesn't.

"I dreamt that they all died. Earlier when I fell asleep, that's what I dreamt about." He tells me.

"Me too." I admit. I don't like that we both dreamed that they died.

I drop my head back and look at the ceiling.  Formulas are dancing around up there.  Formulas that I used in earlier experiments and then dismissed.  One keeps pushing its way to the front like a needy child. The very first formula that Hiro and I tried.

"You don't work." I say to it but it starts shaking at me.

"Fine, I'll only be wasting precious time but hey why not." I say to the bothersome formula.

When I look back down Hiro is staring at me oddly.

"Talk to yourself often?"

"I wasn't talking to myself, I was talking to our formulas." Because that sounds much better.

"Oh yeah, which one?" He asks like I didn't just say something completely crazy.

"The first one, it keeps buzzing around in my head." I admit.

"The only way to make it stop is to try it." I tell him.

"OK, let's start there then." He says standing up.

He stretches his long arms as he leans back then cracks his neck. He pulls up the data about our first formula and I go sit beside him staring at the screen.

"I say we just mix it and try it." He finally says.

"Yeah, why not." I say and follow him.

We each gather the things that we need and start preparing. For the most part each work station has everything we need to test and create except for a centrifuge machines, they have to be shared between partners. Still that's a luxury we've never had before.

Our engineers have been very useful since we haven't had to waste time waiting for any type of repair. I think being busy helps them too. I know it has for P'Kong.

Hiro and I work separately but using the original formal as a beginning point. I plan out four different variations of it taking into consideration the addition of another virus.

Thanks to P'Bee we now know that nemesis combined our virus with hers. I guess she thought she was being clever. Now you would think that knowing this would make it easier but the fact that each strand is DNA specific is where our problem lies. That means that each virus had to be adjusted slightly to accommodate that variant. That means we will need three different antidotes.

I'm feeling antsy so I decide to check on Ming.  I walk through the hospital and feel annoyed that everything is going on as usual.  I suppose it should but still it's more than I can handle right now.

I walk in and look at my Ming.  I place my cheek against his and it's so hot.  His face is flushed from the fever and I can see blisters on his lips.  I take a deep breath and slide into bed beside him.  I pull his arm over me and bury my face into his chest.  I know I shouldn't do this, the last thing he needs is more body heat but I can't help it.  What if this is the last time I get to touch him while he's alive?
