Well after I tried to run out of this hellhole, I ran, I tripped, and was probably going to die. And to make things better I was stuck with a lot of boys, with no memory of who I am.
Great just my luck. Now I'm stuck in homestead where I'm waiting for the boys to decide what to do with me.

I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard the stairs creak. I looked up from my bed and saw Newt walking towards me. I jumped off the bed.

"So, are you going to kill me now?" I asked, seriously.

Newt laughed and said, "If we bloody wanted to kill you then we would have already done it."

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.

"We decided to treat you the same as the others. I mean once you remember your name you have to let us know. Alright?" He asked.

I nodded and he continued on, "There was a box that came up with you say it was for you. We will bring it in. You can have this room, we thought you might want some privacy."

I smiled. I guess you would say he was cute. No! I pushed those thoughts out of my head. Wait a minute. How old was I? What do I look like?

"Oh! And I almost forgot. We're having a party tonight for you. Since we are gonna get a new person each month we decided that each month we should have a bonfire." He said.

He started walking out of the room, but I stopped him.

"Newt?" I asked.

He stopped and turned around, "Yeah greenie?"

"What do I look like?"

He tensed up. This was probably uncomfortable, but I needed to know. He scratched the back of his neck, looking like he was deep in thought.

" Um, well... You have long brown hair, and beautiful sea green eyes. You are skinny and you look like your about 13 or 14. I'd say 14." He smiled.

I could feel heat come into my cheeks. I looked away so he wouldn't see me blush.

"Thanks!" I said.

I finally looked up and he gave me a smile and walked out the door.

I looked around my room. It had a dresser and a bed. And a little lamp on the dresser. I walked over to it and opened the dresser doors, but nothing was in there. Newt said something about a box for me so I hoped I had some clothes.

I walked over to my bed and sat on it. It was both comfortable and uncomfortable. At least it was something. So, they didn't want to kill me or harm me so what was there motive? What was my name? Why can't I remember anything? So, everyone went through this right? I hope so. It's bad enough being the only girl. Some girls would probably take my place happily. Wait. Have I ever met a girl before?

It's so confusing. I looked around my room. It was grey and was just... Blah. It was boring. I was lonely. So, if the boys weren't the ones to send me up, then who?

I got up and walked to my window. I could see the boys working and some putting large pieces of wood on the grass. It was about sunset time. It was getting dark out quickly.

I walked down the squeaky stairs and headed outside. When I got out there I shivered. Jeez, it could get pretty cold in the glade. I looked around and found Newt by the garden.

"Hey, greenie!" He said, waving me over

"Are you ready to party?" He asked.

"Sure! Except your the only person I know, though." I said.

He dropped the shovel that was in his hands and walked over to me. He looked concerned.

"What's on your mind, love?" He asked.

"Um, well I don't know anyone really." I said.

"Oh! Don't worry I'll help ya, there!" He smiled.

After thirty minutes of just walking and talking with Newt he had to go and start the bonfire. Five boys stood in front of the wood that they had piled up, with torches.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1!" They shouted and threw there torches in.

The glade lit up with the light of the bonfire. I had to say, it was quite beautiful. I looked up at the night sky. The stars were beautiful and bright. The moon was glowing brightly. I like night sky. I wonder if I liked the night sky before my memory was wiped.

I turned around and shifted my gaze at the fire. I started walking toward it. I looked around at all the boys who were all laughing and enjoying themselves.

"Hey, don't just sit there," I heard a familiar voice.

I turned around and saw Newt. He held out his hand and said, "Come on!"

I took his hand and it when we touched it was so... right. I looked at him and he looked at me. I turned my head so he couldn't see me blush.

As soon as I stood up he let go and I did too. Awkward, I thought. He started walking and I followed as he started pointing to people and helping me understand what's going on. And at the end I stopped and looked at him.

"So, let me get this straight. We are stuck inside a monster infested maze, with no memory of who or where we are, and we just have to live with it until the runners find a way out. Am I correct?" I said, in one big breath.

Newt laughed and said, "Yep! Sounds about right!"

We both laughed and talked more for a few more minutes until he told me to wait where I was. He came back a few moments later with a kid that was around a year or two older than me. When I saw him, I had a feeling in my stomach. I didn't know what it was, but he seemed so... familiar. Like Newt, but this was different.

"Greenie, this is Gally!" Newt said.

The kid had a scowl on his face. I couldn't tell if it was because I was a girl or because it was permanent. The one thing I noticed was that his eyebrow game was strong. I swear I had seen him before. He had his hand out for me to shake. I took it.

"Nice to meet ya, greenie!" He said. He looked deep in thought.

"I've seen you before!" He blurted out.

"Me too! But where?"

Then at the same time we both blurted our, " Sister!"
"Brother!"

We both hugged. He was my brother! That's all I could remember. I didn't know how I knew I just did.
