The Moon. (Newt fanfic)

Chapter: 16

"What?!"

"I found labels in the maze. Tomorrow your coming with me." Minho said. I nodded and he walked out.

"Alright then. You better get some more rest. Come on Newt. Night Luna." Gally said, standing up.

"Nah, I'm gonna talk to her for awhile." My brother just glared at him and opened his mouth to say something, but I interrupted.

"He's fine." I said, reassuring him.

"Fine, but if anything bad happens or if you two get.... frisky then I will bash your head." Gally said to Newt. Newt put his hands up in surrender. Gally walked out and Newt chuckled. I was sure my face was beat red.

"So..."

"Why did you do it? You know there are people that care for you! If you would have died, I don't think I could live with myself."

"Okay look. I just felt like nobody could understand and if I told anybody about how I felt they would run away. Including you." Tears brimmed my eyes.

"Look Newt. I don't care how many times I have to tell you, to get it through your shucking head, I care for you! Okay? I'm here for you. You're not alone!" I said. 'No you don't. You don't care for him. You love him.'

"Okay, so what do I have to do to get it through your bloody head, that you're beautiful, strong, independent and amazing?' He shot back. 'Ouch!' Wait did he just call me beautiful?

"Fine! Here's the deal. You don't try anything like that again and no more cutting and I'll not cut or do anything stupid like that." I said, holding my hand out for him to shake. He took my hand and shaked it.

"Deal." Newt smiled at me and I could feel my heart going crazy. I studied his face. His cheeks a light pink and his lips... they were rose red. His eyes were so comforting. I went back to his lips. 'So irresistible.' We both leaned in. And... there was a knock on the door.

"Hey... Nick said it's time for Luna to get some rest. I'll help you down Newt." Jeff said as he walked in. Newt and I jumped into our places. Newt coughed a little bit.

"Okay. Good night, Luna." Newt got up and before he hobbled over to Jeff, he bent down and kissed my forehead. He then hobbled out without anymore words. I sat there like an idiot, just sitting there, dumbfounded. Wait, what JUST HAPPENED?! I layed down in my bed and thought over what had happened today. The dream, Newt, Gally, my father.... it was all so confusing. Tomorrow is another day, right?
