Oh my god
Please help me
Neck deep in the river screamin' for relief
He says, it's mine to give
But it's yours to choose
You're gonna sink or swim, you're gonna learn the truth

After leaving Amelia on 5-0, Hunter Wilson went to Matilda but he couldn’t find the strength to talk to her about Amelia’s suspicions. for a couple of beers in a bar close to Matilda’s hotel room. He sat by himself on the counter, for the most part he watched a football match on the small TV. Sometimes he’d look at the girl on the pool table, or the girls on their swimsuits. Before he even realized it he had already drank down about 5 beers like they were bottles of water- although he never in his entire life had drank 5 bottles of water in less than an hour. He was an Englishman alcohol was like oxygen. Still he had to remind himself that Amelia wouldn’t come to drag his ass home. Oh Amelia, he thought. No other girl on the planet turned him on like her and to think of her with another man, to think of what a fool he had been for believing they’d ever leave alone in a quiet village outside of London- he laughed at all his thoughts and took another long ship, placing the empty bottle on the counter.

“is this seat taken?”

For a second he thought his ears were playing games with him when he heard the light British accent. He looked to his right and there was a woman, around her thirties, blonde long curly hair, black dress, blue eyes as if she was a witch and a British charm he had missed this entire time.

“be my guest" he smiled and gestured for her to sit next to him.

The girl sat down and held her hand out “my name’s Karen. You are?”
“hunter.”
“alright Hunter what does a pretty British boy like you doing all alone drinking in Hawaii?”
“how did you know I was British?”
“besides the fact that you’ve finished 5 beers in half an hour? The accent gives it away.”
“Alright Karen, you seem like a smart girl, you just know I will reverse the question.”
“sure but I asked you first" she smiled “hold on I’ll try to get it myself. You moved to Hawaii for a girl but the girl broke your heart and now you’re here alone, drinking in a bar, dreaming about the next flight to rainy London.” She grinned “am I close enough"

“missing some minor details" he shrugged “but that sums it up I guess. What about you?”
“business” she answered simply “I work all day so when I have a day off. I make sure to enjoy it” she placed her hand on his knee. He felt electricity running through his body, he looked up.
“what exactly is your job?”
“Does it matter?”
“I have some trust issues” he replied
“we don’t have to trust each other-" he sentence was cut off by a man speaking behind hunter.

“do yourself a favor and go find another man- this one will make you watch all the James bond movies before you sleep with him.”

Hunter looked behind him to where the voice was coming from and Steve was there, in an old shirt. He laughed at his unluckiness and looked back at the girl “speaking of trust issues, meet Steve mcgarrett the definition of trust issues.”

Steve scoffed and moved next to the girl “would you leave me a moment alone with your new friend?”

“but before you go just out of curiosity which one of us would you pick?” asked hunter
“excuse me?” wondered the girl
“it’s a very simple question-"
“you don’t have to answer it” said Steve “he already had his heart broken today”
“you’re very confident she'll choose you Steve considering the last time a girl chose between us"
