[CH - 19] Trial of the Sword

The sky was grey, rubble were everywhere, damaged marble and items, smoke from fires that have died, this was not what Geno was expecting on their first day in the heavens.

The loss of PJ took a toll on everyone, especially Fresh. Fresh was back to his no emotion state, staring into the empty void with no feelings or any idea of the situation around him. He had completely blocked himself off from everyone else. CQ and Geno tried their best to get Fresh back, even Error tried but to no avail. Fresh was completely lost in his self thoughts.

"I never had the chance to say that I love him, Geno..." Fresh suddenly spoke to me as Geno sat next to him. He jumped at the statement but immediately went to his brotherly instinct and replied to his statement.

"He is in the heavens and I'm sure that he knows that you love him dearly, " Geno said softly, comforting Fresh. "I know that he will protect you from any danger,"

Fresh paused for a second before talking. "I just wish that I can hold him again..."

"I know it is very hard for you but PJ wouldn't want you to give up on your life now. I'm pretty sure he would want you to have a long, happy life," Geno said before sighing and standing up. "Let's go and get a snack. I think you need something to eat," Geno told and helped Fresh up, walking to the kitchen.

Timeskip~

"That was amazing, Inky!" Error exclaimed as he held his little shorty in his arms. Ink was blushing in embarrassment but he kept cuddling his boyfriend.

"Psh. I'm not as good as you with your powers," Ink said.

"Oh be quiet!! You are good, that's all!" Error sighed before picking Ink up bridal style.

"ERROR?!" Ink squealed as he clutched onto Error's coat.

Just then, Geno and Fresh walked into the room as saw what happened. Geno was laughing while Fresh only snickered a bit before stopping. Ink was blushing rainbow while Error was slightly annoyed.

"Don't tease my Inky!" Error exclaimed.

"Inky? You guys have nicknames now?" Geno said it, holding a laugh. That was when Error and Ink realised and were heavily blushing.

"I knew they were lovebirds, Dream!" Nightmare said as he came out of the cupboard with Dream behind. "You're right brother!" He squealed, finding a new couple.

"AAAH! DUST!! DON'T LET ME GO!!!" Someone screamed from above. Everyone looked up to see Cross, dangling from the chandelier with Dust holding his scarf. "Don't worry I won't drop ya.......well maybe =)" Dust said slyly which caused Cross to shake about as he scrambled to the top. Dust sighed and teleported them both down as Cross laid on the floor not moving.

"Uh, Cross?" Dust asked, slightly worried on why Cross was not moving. Suddenly his hand shot up, grabbing Dust's own arm. Then Cross got up, with his eyes replaced with blood red crosses.

"Oh you made a terrible choice bud," C!Chara sais deeply and angrily. Dust took no notice and took off his glasses.

"So this is how you wanna play huh?" Dust snarled.

"Uh guys? Why are they fighting?" A new voice was heard. Everyone turned around to see Reaper holding a book.

"Dust was about to drop Cross from the chandelier and C!Chara wants revenge from scaring them but then Murder wasn't going to let it happen," Error sighed, still holding Ink bridal style. Reaper smirked and took a quick picture.

"That will be my new wallpaper," Reaper said as Error got pissed off.

"Send it to everyone. I really need a picture of them two!" Geno said while laughing.

"So what brings you here Reaper?" Dream asked.

"Oh. It is this prophecy that I found. Here I'll read it out,"

The future of the Gods will turn downhill.

The God of Determination will go missing, causing chaos throughout the world.

Demons, angels, Gods, Goddesses, Humans and everyone will be brought to an eternal war, to search for the God.

Whoever finds him, will have immense power over the world as the God himself, is the only one that can take the sword, stuck in the middle of The Dark Forest.

This sword, can only be withheld by the God himself. Anyone else will die and perish in a curse which will be broken until the sword is lifted.

Yet if the God is captured for three days, the God will stay under command of the captor until someone else kills him.

"Then the rest of it is ripped off. It seems as this book is really old," Reaper said after taking a good breath from reading too long.

"Wait. That star, I've seen it before!" Geno exclaimed as he saw the cover of the book.

"What? I heard that was called a Save Star. My mom told me all about it!" Ink replied.

"But doesn't a Save Star appear with people who have determination?" Dream asked.

"You mean this," Another new voice was heard. At the entrance of the door was Frisk, the apostle of Mercy. They had a Save Star floating above their hands.

"Woah. Yeah. It looked like that!" Geno looked surprisingly as the Save Star shimmered.

"Does that mean your-"

"I don't really know. I was just a normal human but after praying to the Gods I became a protector. Protector of Mercy," They said.

"Then let's go to The Dark Forest!" Dust exclaimed.

"Woah woah. You can't go that fast! What about the Gods? Wouldn't they be looking for us?" Nightmare said sternly.

"But if we have a chance of saving the world, we have to take it! If we miss it, well then we will be in a war," Cross argued.

"Let's do this. I'll leave a note for my mum about what we are doing, so that she won't be too worried," Frisk replied.

"Hopefully we can reach in time before any chaos unfolds," Nightmare sighed before getting ready.

Scene change~

In the underworld, the demons were fighting amongst each other. Their God, the God of Death was missing and they were blaming each other. Just before it got worse, a child teleported on the cliff. It was Chara.

"Hello Demons of the Underworld! I bet your wondering where your precious God is!" They shouted. Some demons stopped to pay attention.

"Well, thanks to the Gods in the heavens, you may not be able to see him again!" They said. Many of the demons were getting angry.

"So. I decided, to help you! Help you take revenge on the Gods for taking away your leader! Who's with me!" They shouted and all the demons cheered in response.

"Heh. Good luck trying to fight this," Chara murmured to themselves.
