[CH - 22] Surface

The group all ran out of the cave, gasping big breaths. Hell was pretty hot, like hell. The cold breeze washed onto their faces as they all slumped in relaxation.

"That was the most hottest place I've ever been in my life!" Ink exclaimed. Error took off his scarf and coat. He was left with a red jumper, sewn up shorts and his slippers.

"Oh my god I am still too fucking hot," Error whined. Cross took the opportunity to make a joke.

"Not everyone thinks you're hot, Error. Except your lovely boyfriend~" Cross smirked as a slipper was thrown to his face.

"Hah. Still remember the slipper attack that Classic gave you? Priceless!" Error laughed as Ink, Reaper and Dust joined in. Cross just blushed in embarrassment and poured like a kid.

"Shut up..." Cross muttered. Not moments before his eyes glitched, showing two glowing red eyes with 'X' marks across it.

"That stupid smiley trash bag did the most stupidest attack I have ever witnessed in my time of being with the old man!!" Cross Chara screamed as everyone closed their ears. Cross then knocked his head, regaining control of his body, quietly sat as he stared at the others. They all gave out small snickers before quietening down as they soon got hold of their breath.

"That is an experience I will not like to revisit again," Reaper stated as he saw everyone panting. He wasn't hot, nor out of breath.

"Excuse me Mr God of Death. I believe you are capable of living there, unscathed, for the rest of your life," Nightmare shot back.

"Oh shut up!"

"So you want to fight me now?"

"Bring it on. Let's see what you got!" Reaper looked down at Nightmare as he summoned his scythe. Nightmare immediately changed his form into his black and gooey self, ten tackles sprouting from his back. The rest looked worriedly and held the two back.

"Unless you want to destroy this entire forest, don't fight over a small thing. And I think you're both capable of creating mass destruction," Ink said as he blocked Nightmare. Sighing, Nightmare changed into his passive form as Reaper made his scythe disappear.

"Tch. Fine. I'm not going anywhere near him," Nightmare growled as Death flared at him fiercely.

Down on the surface...

A ship arrived at the port of New York. People were bustling around as shopkeepers shouted to grab the crowds attention. The ship stopped at the bay as passengers slowly walked down the wooden plank and onto the ground. In the midst of the passengers, a fair brown haired man came down. His hair was tied into a small ponytail as his intelligent eyes looked around the city. He appeared as if he was looking for someone. Suddenly, he smiled frantically as he pushed passed the crowds. He reached another man who was almost warring the same attire.

"Pardon me, are you Aaron Burr, sir?"

"That depends, who's asking,"

"Oh, sure, sir, I'm Alexander Hamilton, I'm at your service, sir. I have been looking for you,"

"Oh. Pleasure to meet you Alexander. What do you need me for?"

"I want to graduate King's College and fight in the Revolution against monsters, sir. But I heard you in the books at Princeton. How did you graduate so fast?"

"Let's have a drink and talk about this later, shall we?"

"That would be an honour, sir," he said as they walked into the nearby bar.

The group trekked their way onwards to the Dark Forest. Some were determined while others were babbling nonsense between one and other.

"You are actually stupid," Dust retorted as Cross flipped him off. Error looked in disappointment and Reaper looked at them both amusedly.

"Guys, stop fighting! There is no wa- AAAAAAAH!" Geno fell into a gigantic hole that was in front of their path.

"GENO?!" Reaper and Error said in sync.

"No no no! We have to jump after him!!" Reaper exclaimed.

"I fucking know, now everybody jump in!!" Error said in panic as he dumped into the hole, Reaper and Fresh following behind him. Dream, Ink and Frisk hesitated before jumping as well. All that were left were Cross, Nightmare and Dust.

"Welp. Sayanaro bitches," Cross said smugly before jumping and disappearing into the hole.

"There's only one way we can go..." Nightmare said quietly.

"Yeah- AHHH FUCK YOU NIGHTMARE!!!!" Dust screamed as he was pushed into the hole by Nightmare, who was snickering the whole time. Not moments later, he jumped after them.

Geno slowly opened his eyes as he realised he was underwater. He held his breath as he swam ferociously to get to the surface. Once he had reached there, he gasped for air as he took deep breaths. He saw land just several kilometres away and swam towards it.

As soon as he arrived there, he flipped his body onto the boiling sand. He didn't care that much but he was lucky he knew how to swim.

"aaaaaAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Geno heard several screams coming from the air. Geno couldn't make out the figures but he saw a colourful blob falling for the sky. He immediately knew that they came after him.

He laughed as the gang fell one by one into the water, screaming in fear. You could probably say that Geno maybe sadistic as well.

They all rushed to the land as the repeated what Geno has done and fell face-forward onto the sand. Reaper came to Geno and hugged him tightly.

"I see an angel that fell from heaven~" Geno attempted to flirt with Reaper. Reaper, noticing the flirt, smiled evilly as he held Geno's chin.

"See you're flirting with me, huh. Wanna have a flirt battle?" He said smugly as Geno blushed brightly. He knew he couldn't win against him.

Suddenly, Error snatched Geno out of Reaper's arms and hugged him dearly.

"Never do that again you idiot," He said as Geno patted his head.

"Don't worry ya dingus. I'm still alive,"

"Yeah whatever," Error replied, showing a little smile.

"Where are we though?" Dream spoke up.

"I have no clue," Cross said as he regained his composure.

Reaper walked up to the nearby grass patch and set his foot in it. Surprisingly, it wasn't dying out as quickly as it was usually. Then realisation dawned over him.

"Guys. We are back on the surface,"
