[CH - 26] God of Determination

Everyone stood dead silent, not making a single noise. Laurens and Alex both breathed slowly and as quietly as they could. The only thing that could be heard was the rustling if cold wind, shivering the group.

Frisk looked up, blood leaking from their skin as their white robe was tattered and ruined. They had to get the sword. It could end all of this chaos. However, Frisk was too injured to move. Any more movement and they might break a bone.

"Aw. Isn't that sweet?! You can't touch the sword and the war still continue!" Chara cackled as they gave a wicked smile. "Hahahahah!"

Everyone looked at them with failure. They managed to make it all the way yet things take a turn and they end in failure. Yet however, Geno looked at Chara sternly. He was determined to end this war.

"This doesn't mean we are going to stop trying," Geno responded as the group slightly jumped in surprise.

"Oh? Someone who is willing to take me on? Well, I guess a small fight won't hurt. I brought back up with me if that's fine!" Chara gave a twisted smile as demon-like figures surrounded the group. Alex and Laurens brought out their guns as the rest summoned their magic.

"Geno, are you sure this is a completely thought and well-placed our plan?" Dust asked as he held his glasses, ready to take them off.

"It's completely prepared," Geno smirked as he clicked his fingers. He opened his eyes slowly as he saw everyone in their places. Except time had stopped. Geno has learnt how to control his magic throughout the training at Monster Camp. He gave another quick snap as the others moved out of position.

"Woah!!! Everyone has frozen!" Ink exclaimed.

"I have stopped time for a small amount. You guys do what ever you want with these creatures. Don't let them hurt you," Geno said as he held his hands out. The rest looked at each other giving a smile before they started attacking. Not moments later, time resumed as the creatures slowly fizzed away.

Chara looked in astonishment but quickly faded as they sent other wave of creatures, even more powerful and terrifying. They all hoped for the best as they charged forwards. Nightmare and Ink were swaying their brush and staff at the incoming creatures. Error pulled them in the air as Dream and Cross shot them down with arrows and knives. Dust was busily slashing his knife as Alex and Laurens kept shooting. Geno and Reaper were handling a group of creatures.

As Geno attacked a creature, Chara saw how he attacked them. They knew he was powerful like the rest. Suddenly, and idea popped in their mind. They gave a wicked smile before dropping Frisk on the ground and teleporting away.

Frisk slowly pushed themselves from the ground. They tried to walk but it was useless. They were severely damaged. Frisk decided to drag themselves across to the slab of rock where the sword stood shining. They slowly clambered through the grass and made it to the rock, which they used to help them get up. The sword stood in front of them. They held out their weak arms as they went to grab the sword. Soon they felt the cold metal of the handle.

But that was all a lie

Frisk immediately let go as the coldness began to spread around their body. It was so cold as their skin began to freeze and the body was slowly fading. The group all looked in horror as Frisk's feet faded completely. They looked down but faced towards them with a sense of relief.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help....." they said as their final words echoed through the minds of the group. The body faded away and all that was left was a golden bracelet.

Everyone was shocked and their faces showed horror. Frisk couldn't get the sword. They died trying to help yet the war was still raging on. Geno couldn't say anything. His mind was blank. However that lead to his downfall as Chara teleported behind him, attacking him and sent him flying with his head hitting the slab of stone.

Geno held onto his head tightly as pain seeped through his entire head. His vision began to blur as the headache pounded. A creature came slowly towards Geno. He tried to use his magic but his vision was not correct that it didn't work properly.

"GENO!" A voice echoed as the creature stared at him from above. Geno looked up before slowly closing his eyes.

Wake up

Wake up

WAKE UP

"AAAAH!" Geno woke up with a startle. He realised he wasn't where he was.

"Did I die?"

'No you didn't' a new voice was heard.

"Wha- who are you?! And...where are you?.." Geno asked as he looked around the white void.

'I'm not a demon, angel, monster, human nor God. I exist outside of that realm,'

"Ah. So you are a being outside of this universe," Geno said lazily.

'You shouldn't give up yet, 47 65 6e 6f 20 43 72 61 79 6f 6e 20 51 75 65 65 6e,'

"What? I didn't understand," Geno asked. The random numbers were already confusing, almost reminding of a code...

'I'm sorry 47 65 6e 6f 20 43 72 61 79 6f 6e 20 51 75 65 65 6e but I'm not able to say. The whole world is now in your hands. I suggest you wake up and use that sword,'

"Wait! I can't use the sword!" Geno shouted as his vision began to blur once again.

'Good luck 47 65 6e 6f 20 43 72 61 79 6f 6e 20 51 75 65 65 6e error error Geno Crayon Queen,'

Geno took a big gasp of air as he woke up from the small meeting. He looked up to be faced with a creature hanging over him. It was ready to attack as Geno felt the slab of stone he was on. He sighed as he pulled the sword out of the stone.

Oh dear. What a predicament Geno had to go through. And guess what. We are near the end of this book!
