[CH - 25] "Another stupid forest"

Ink saw the new human with his sword in the air. He was ready to slash at Dust who was unaware of the situation.

"DUST!!"

Dust turned around to be faced with a tall man who's sword was about to chop his head off. He gulped as he closed his eyes for a quick, painless death. His eyes continued to be closed for a while until he realised the sword wasn't coming at him. He slowly opened his eyes to see the another human holding back the other.

Dust leaped out of the way and noticed Error, Dream, Cross, Reaper, Ink and another human witnessing the chaos.

"Laf. Stop. Don't harm these monsters," Alex said as he struggled to hold back the sword.

"Non mom ami! These vile creatures are our enemy!" The human replies with a heavy French accent.

"Lafayette, they didn't mean no harm. They're really kind!" Laurens tried to call him down. Lafayette looked back and sighed, putting the sword back.

"Fine. Since you're like moi frère, I'll leave you," He puffed and looked at the skeletons. "Who are you lot?"

"I'm Dream!"

"I'm Error,"

"The name's Reaper,"

"My name is Ink!"

"Cross,"

"I'm Dust. The one you almost chopped my head off,"

"Ah. Ok" Lafayette looked at them once more before turning to Laurens. "What am I supposed to do now?"

"Say your name idiot!" Laurens chuckled as he gave him a fake punch on the arm.

"Je m'appelle Lafayette,"

"You're French huh?" Dust asked.

"What do you think, monsieur!" Dream could sense the heated tension between the two and decided to break it up.

"Hey, um. Where's Geno and Nightmare?"

"Oh yeah. Where are they?" Cross asked.

"I hope they are not hurt," Reaper said.

"I guess we gotta find them. Would you guys like to come with us?" Error asked. The three humans looked at one another.

"I was supposed to be at Base half an hour ago. I'm pretty sure Washington is going to kill me..." Alex replied. Laurens nodded.

"I have to go back and see if Mull is alright," Lafayette replied.

"OoOh. Going back to your boyfriend huh?" Laurens eyed Lafayette as Alex smirked. The taller male just blushed and replied with a simple, "Shut up..."

"Well it seems that you two are coming along with us while Lafayette goes back. I'll guess we'll see you later. We promise we won't kill them," Reaper said. Lafayette waved as Laurens and Alex followed the monsters.

The group were trudging their way to where Geno and Nightmare were supposed to be. It wasn't long before they arrived at the destination with no one there.

"Where are they?" Ink asked.

"I have no clue," Error replied.

"Hey Dream," a voice was heard from behind. Everyone jumped in fright while Dream turned around to see Nightmare standing behind him.

"Brother! Don't scare people like that!"

"Psh. It was funny watching everyone's faces," he smirked.

"Hi Reaper," Another voice was heard as everyone backed up again. Nightmare laughed as Geno hung upside down on a tree. "Nice prank Nightmare," He said as he came down the tree.

"Thank you very much kind sir,"

"Why do you have a human with you. Sorry. Why are there TWO humans with you?" Geno asked with a concerned tone.

"Don't worry! They're with us! Their names are Alexander and Laurens!" Dream said energetically.

"I say we show them the place we found, shouldn't we Geno?" Nightmare asked, quickly changing the topic.

"Sure why not. Follow me everyone!" Geno shouted as he and Nightmare lead the group on a trail. Not moments later, they had reached outside of the forest and there was another forest right ahead. Except it had a weird, eerie feeling to it.

"Guess what that is?" Geno asked.

"Another stupid forest," Cross bluntly replied. Some snickered while the two humans have a small laugh.

"No Cross. There is something weird and unusual about that forest. No magic works in there at all!" Nightmare responded.

"That's...unusual," Error took another glance at the forest.

"Well, if it doesn't allow magic in there, there's something in there...and we are going to find it," Dust responded.

"Ugh. If this forest kills us, has any mythical creatures or poisons us in any way, I'm going to say 'I told you so'" Cross said disappointedly.

"What are we waiting for! We have two humans at our side, nothing could go wrong!" Dream said.

Soon, they entered the forest.

The group had been trekking for a long time. Laurens and Alex had their guns out ready while the rest had to survive without their magic. Creepy as it was, everyone sound creeped out the members of the group.

As they continued to walk, the forest's leaves began slimming as sunlight seeped through. Some of them started to relax as the sense of danger began to loosen. They all soon arrived at the centre of the forest.

The sun shined brightly as tree leaves swayed in the leaves. The grass was pure green and amongst it, the flowers showed off its bright colours. In the dead centre of the forest, there was a block of stone. And in that stone, was a sword.

"Isn't that.." Ink looked amazed. Alex and Laurens were both shocked.

"That is the sword. THE sword," Geno replied as he saw the metal glistening in the sunlight, blinding anyone who saw it.

"Now we just gotta pull it out of the stone, right?" Cross said as he headed towards the sword. Strings suddenly pulled him back.

"At least magic works here now," Dust notes before Cross was pulled back.

"You idiot! Only the God of Determination can get to hold that sword. You'll perish if you touch it!" Error shouted.

"Wait a minute. Frisk is back at the medical suite," Nightmare pointed out. Everyone froze for a couple of seconds. The two humans looked at all of them with confusion.

"How the fuck are we going to stop this war?!" Cross exclaimed.

"We can't go back and get Frisk! We'll lose the path back!" Ink responded.

A weird, dark feeling grew in the forest. Everyone immediately noticed as they saw the leaves rustling and the wind picking up pace. The sunlight was being blocked as from the black mist came out an old friend.

Chara.

However, they weren't alone. They dragged someone injured along with them.
