Geno hands trembled with fear. The head of the creature fell off its body as it rolled down the small hill. Chara looked at him in shock as Reaper noticed. He turned to face where the sword stood to see Geno holding it in his own hands. He froze, not making a single breath as if it would speed up the time that Geno was going to disappear like Frisk. Not moments later did a single drop of tear rolled down his cheeks as Geno faced him.
Nothing happened
It was as if time stopped and everyone was stuck, not a breath could be heard. Just as the silence became more suspicious, Chara took a step forward with a smug look on their face.
"Oh dear. Seems as if you got the sword. I wonder how long you'll live your small, pathetic life, " They snickered as Geno gave a sarcastic smirk.
"Oh no! I'm going to die in a long, slow and painful death. The tragedy!" Geno was acting so sarcastic that it surprised the rest of the gang, including Laurens and Alex. Chara scoffed and waited while Geno gave them dirty looks. The wait was long until something from the store began to glow brightly. Everyone looked away due to its brightness, almost as if they were facing the sun itself. Once the glowing dissipated, they all turned to look as someone they thought they would never see again.
"Frisk?"
"I'm ...... alive?" Frisk looked down at their hands and touching everything around. From stones to the grass. "I'm alive!!" they shouted as they ran up to Dream and gave him a big hug. Chara, of course was astonished as noticed several more people popping up out of no where. These were all the people who had tried to touch the stone but failed. People young as old were scattered across the area. Geno looked at them casually as the truth started to sink into Chara.
Geno was a God. The God of Determination
Chara was in fury. How could he be a God. He has no capabilities of a God. The more it sank, the more it angered them. Soon they broke. They whipped out their iconic knife and ran to Geno, aiming it carefully.
Geno, however, noticed this and brought the sword up in time, blocking the attack. Chara looked at him with fury and envy. They clicked their fingers to wake the attention of the creatures who multiplied in amount. Everyone looked horrified while the gang got into a battle stance.
"You think you can get away easily? I'll pick off your friends like picking petals of a flower!" Chara said in rage. After the last words escaped their mouths, the creatures began to lunge forward to attack. Dream casted a barrier spell around the humans and monsters that couldn't defend themselves. The rest took out their weapons and summoned their magic, ready to help fight against Chara.
It was the finale. The finale between what could end war between humans and monsters.
Let's see who can win
The battle raged on as both monsters and humans fought against the creatures and Chara. Geno lunged his way through, easily killing a bunch at a time. Reaper was doing the exact same with his scythe. Large bunches of creatures disintegrated. Error was picking off them one at a time, pulling them into the air and snapping through them with the razor sharp strings. Nightmare and Dream were like twin power. They both protected the defenceless people and fought off several creatures. Dust and Cross were doing a genocide. Both of them would have probably killed an entire country if let loose. Luckily it wasn't humans nor monsters they were killing.
Reaper attacked and found a goal reaching to Chara. He took the opportunity and ran to them, unnoticed. However, Chara was a tricky child and fought him off guard, sending him plummeting to the floor with a bleeding gash over his eye. He was blinded in one eye.
Chara walked over to him menacingly, holding out their iconic weapon; the knife. Geno noticed Chara, ready to strike Reaper. A small pang cane from his chest as his vision began to blur.
"REAPER!!!"
A gunshot was heard.
Geno looked up to see if Reaper was hurt. He tagged as he saw the excessive blood above his eye. He took a glance at Chara who stood for a second before tumbling to the ground. Geno ran up to Reaper, pulling him away from Chara.
He went slowly to check as he noticed that they weren't breathing.
They were dead.
Geno looked back at where the gun shot originated from. He turned to face Alex, his hands trembling and he held onto Laurens who had several bruises. He lowered his gun and smiled.
Everyone was quiet after the gunshot. The creatures stopped moving as if they're time was up. And as they knew it, they all began to melt into the ground. One by one, they soon went, leaving the battered garden.
Nobody had said a word until someone started clapping. Soon more of them clapped, giving an extra cheer. At the end, everyone was cheering and crying, hugging their loved ones as they are finally free.
Geno's body trembled as he trudged his way to Reaper. Reaper opened his good eye and started crying. He pulled Geno into a hug, holding him tightly. Error came running to Geno as he hugged him as well. He was glad that he was still alive and hadn't died.
Geno glances at his brother before sleep took over him.
(Temskip to several years later)
All was well now.
The war had never commenced. The monsters forgave the humans and they all lived in peace.
Buildings were reconstructed with the help of monsters and humans and as the years went by, they had made a wonderful place.
The Gods has talked amongst each other and congratulated the protectors and the God that they were surprised about.
They were still weary of Geno and his powers but they kept a close eye on him to keep him safe.
Geno's life had become more interesting. Him and his family lived in the heavens along with the rest. They studied in a different school and they are all now grown adults. However, their childish behaviours haven't left them so you better watch out for pranks! Nightmare had also revealed his secret coughboyfriendcough which happened to be the one and only Killer. Everyone knew so Nightmare wasn't impressed. Horror and Dust have gotten together and so have Cross and Dream. Error and Ink have always been like a happy couple and Fresh had gotten over PJ, yet never dares to forget him.
Geno was currently sitting on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the mortal realm. Suddenly, someone pounced in him from behind.
"AHH!"
"Pfft haha. You get so scared Gen," Reaper chuckled as he sat next to him.
"Of course it's scary if someone ounces on someone!"
"Whatever. Hey, I wanted to talk to you about something," Reaper said, as his hands began twitching oddly.
"What do ya want?"
"Ok. Ok. We've been together for a while and I've been thinking about this over and over..." he said almost mumbling. But Geno heard clearly and whipped his head towards Reaper with tears beginning to form in his eyes.
"Reaper..." Reaper pulled Geno up as he kneeled to the ground, pulling up a small, black case.
"Geno. Will you m-marry me?" His voice quivered in fear of rejection. He opened the case to reveal the ring encrusted with a ruby. His hands trembled as Geno began to cry. He knelt down to him and hugged him dearly.
"Yes. Yes I will," he said quietly as Reaper smiled. He slowly wiped Geno's tears as he slipped on the ring onto his finger.
"We should get back now. It's getting late and I think the others want to know the news," Reaper joked as Geno laughed. They got up and went back, their hands holding one and other.
