Krissy's Point of View
Something was off. I couldn't tell what it was, but the moment I woke up, I knew something was wrong. It was only a matter of time until I figured it out. I went through my regular morning routine. I showered, changed into my outfit and did my makeup. I made some breakfast and poured myself a glass of my favorite french vanilla iced coffee. Shout out to Starbucks for their cold brew.I even made enough food for there to be some leftovers for Morgan. Daniel was already long gone at work. Nothing was out of the ordinary, besides Sophie being back in California. I couldn't figure out what was making me feel so weird. I ignored the feeling and went to work.
I sat in my office and stared at my computer screen. I guess the only weird thing was that I finally knew when i'd be saying goodbye to Blake. I had gotten an email from the judge with the date. His court case was to occur in two weeks.
It was a few days after Thanksgiving. I had everything prepared for it. I even went over it with my boss. He seemed like it was a great plan and the judge was going to side with me. I just hoped Blake didn't do anything stupid before then.
I haven't heard from him. He was off playing football. Daniel and I watched a few of his games on tv. I'm surprised Daniel is cool with Blake, considering that he was there when Blake confessed his undying love for me. I guess in the end, it doesn't matter. I love Daniel and promise to live my life with him.
Actually, that may be the weird part. It's been a month since I said yes to Daniel. My wedding planning was going great. We decided to get married back in Connecticut since that's where we met. We'll be having a spring wedding. His parents were excited when we told them. Mine weren't. They were a little confused as to how everything was going so fast. I was definitely one to take my time. In the end, they are happy for me and support me in all my decisions. The only one who doesn't is Sophie.
After she found out that I was marrying Daniel. She flipped out. She began to discuss how Blake has loved me forever and that we were meant to be, and all this other nonsense. At least I had Morgan on my side during this. Morgan just said to let me be and be happy for me. Sophie was annoyed but finally agreed.
A week later, she found herself on another plane. This time she was going home. She had missed a lot of work and her boss was threatening to let her go. Asher went with her since Blake was out of town for his games. They were all supposed to be coming back for Thanksgiving. We were spending the week back home. It was definitely going to be weird, especially with Daniel and Blake. Sophie made Blake promise that he wasn't going to miss this holiday. I was not looking forward to it.
I heard a knock on the door of my office. I looked up to see Morgan. She was carrying a couple of brown bags. She walked in, shutting the door behind her. She set the bags on my desk and that's when I was engulfed with delicious smelling lunch. I hadn't even realized how late it was.
"So, how's the day going?" Morgan asked. I sighed.
"Weird. Something feels off and I can't figure out what it is. It's as if some sort of twist is going to occur. I just don't know when the other shoe will drop." I explained to her. She chuckled.
"It'll be alright K. Now relax. Enjoy this amazing food. I have big news!" She said. I grabbed my assigned box and opened it up to reveal Olive Garden. The chicken parmigiana was calling my name.
"What's up?" I asked her. I took a bite of the spaghetti, finding me in heaven.
"Carlos asked me to be his girlfriend!" She gushed.
"That's awesome M!" I told her. It was. She deserved to be happy. After Adam left, she moped around. It was hard to comfort her considering we were in different states. Wait. "What happens when you move back to Ohio?"
