Krissy's Point of View
Twirling in my wedding dress, I knew that this was it. This was the last day I would ever be Kristina Reagan. I was way more than excited to finally marry Blake. It was a dream come true, but I was also sad to leave my last name behind.I used to be the independent girl that didn't rely on anyone. All of high school I worked to be able to pay for school. I was slightly naive, thinking i'd be able to pay for Harvard myself, but I still tried to do it all on my own. I didn't ask my parents for things that weren't needed. I didn't care that I drove an older car model. I didn't care that I wasn't going to have a trust fund at eighteen. I knew that i'd be successful on my own.
I got into college with scholarships. I was valedictorian of my class. I even got the internship of a lifetime that got me to where I am right now. I managed to do everything on my own, but I was beyond grateful for my grandfather helping me pay for college. I was thankful that my parents were strict and made me focus on school. I was also thankful for my friends and Blake, showing me that I didn't have to do every single thing on my own. I could ask for help and that was alright. I'll have a permanent partner to help me with everything now. It wasn't just me anymore.
"Kristina!" I heard my mother's voice. I saw her walk into the little room attached to the church. I was still admiring myself in the mirror. I felt like a princess. "You look gorgeous. I can't believe my baby girl is getting married."
"Mom, stop. You are going to make me cry." I said to her. She had tears in her eyes that were ready to burst. Now imagine what she's going to be like during the actual thing. I just hoped her makeup was waterproof.
"This dress is beautiful too." My mom said making me twirl. I did the little spin, giggling. She was right. This dress was perfect. This was the same dress I had dreamed of when I first thought of marrying Blake.
It was strapless with the sweetheart neckline. It also had the crystal belt at the waist. It flowed down like a ball gown, but the train wasn't long, so I wouldn't trip. It was perfect.
"Are you ready Krissy?" Morgan asked. She was wearing her bridesmaid dress. It was a long maroon dress with spaghetti straps that dipped into a shallow V. She had her brown locks in a tight bun, pinned to the side.
