Blake's Point of View
Getting off the plane, I instantly knew that we weren't in New York anymore. The weather was much warmer and pleasant. It was even more relaxing. I could enjoy being outside on this winter day. California was definitely on the other side of the country.

I watched as Carlos joked with a few of the guys on the team. We were all getting off the private jet assigned to our organization and going to the hotel that would be ours for the next few days. We'd always stay together, taking up entire floor at times. We'd definitely start a ruckus.

"Dude, this is epic." Carlos said coming over to me. I laughed. No matter how many times we flew, he was still in awe of every city we visit. His fascination can come from a beetle and a leaf, being entertained for hours at a time. I'm not sure how Morgan likes this doof with the attention span of a fish.

"Is Morgan and the cheer team staying at the same hotel?" I asked him. He looked down at his phone, unlocking it. He scrolled before nodding his head.

"Yeah. Is Krissy staying with Morgan?" He asked me. I nodded. We quickly followed the guys and got on the bus that would be taking us to the hotel. Settling into the air conditioning vehicle, I thought of the girl of my dreams.

It has been almost two weeks since Christmas Eve. I kept making sure that Krissy was coming to California. I didn't want her backing out. That's when Krissy asked me a trillion of questions about this little trip, such as where is she going to stay, how long will she stay, and if i'm sure if want her to come. Me being me, I didn't have any answers for most of her questions, besides the one about wanting her to come. I was thankful Morgan offered her to stay with her in her hotel. I would have suggested Krissy staying with me, but one, my coach probably wouldn't allow it and two, I didn't want to make Krissy uncomfortable her first night with me. I want her to trust me and feel like she can tell me anything.

"Morgan landed earlier. She's going to pick Krissy up from the airport later tonight." Carlos told me when we reached our hotel. The guys and I soon checked in. Since I was captain, I got a room to myself. It had a queen bed that faced a flat screen tv hanging on the wall. There was a table with a few chairs that sat beside the double screen doors which led out to a balcony with a phenomenal view. I also had a closet and a connecting bathroom. A mini bar was set up in the corner.

I unpacked for the few days that I would be in California. I turned on the tv, listening to the highlights of our last game. We had played in New York against the Miami Dolphins. We had won by a touchdown. Carter Martin was definitely a great quarterback. I was up against a real athlete, but my team came out victorious. I then heard a knock on my door. I shut the tv off, watching Carter throw a pass before it went black. I then made my way to the door, revealing a confused Carlos.

"Hey man. Krissy's plane landed. She's in the hotel." Carlos said out of breath. I felt the electricity course through me. I could sense her in the building. She was probably a few floors below us. I wanted nothing more than to run to her side, but I had to control myself.

"Thanks." I told him. I then walked back over to my bed, reaching for my phone.

"You aren't going to go say hi?" Carlos asked, walking in. He shut the door behind him.

"No, I want to wait until our date tomorrow." I told him. I wanted it all to be perfect. I found Krissy's contact and pressed the message button. I then began to type.

hi babe, i'm glad you landed safely. i'm only a few floors up if you need anything.

"Dude, what do you even have planned for that?" Carlos asked sitting down at the small table. I was about to reply when my phone buzzed.
