Blake's Point of View
I felt all my energy rise as I slipped on my football helmet. I was playing in a Super Bowl as a starting quarterback. After everything wrong that has happened in my life, it finally felt like I was on the right path to happiness. I was excited to be able to live out this dream, finally. The guys and I stood in the hallway to get onto the field. We could hear the announcer, but weren't able to make out the words. I just knew all the fans were buzzing. I could picture Asher's anxious face as Sophie screamed with excitement. I didn't want to picture Krissy just because I knew I wouldn't be able to get her out of my mind.
I was going crazy not seeing her. She came back a few days ago but I hadn't had time to see her. I knew she felt better based on the numerous text messages I had received. But I just wanted her in my arms. Everything would be perfect right after the game. I would bring my team the win. I'd have Krissy to kiss and hold. Plus, I had something special for after the game. It was all going to be perfect.
"Alright guys. This is it." Our coach began to say. We focused on him, not wanting to anger him. A happy coach is a happy team. "I know it took hard work to get where we are today. It took a lot of screaming and fighting," he said looking around. "But I know that after all of it, you guys are bigger and better than those cheating Patriots. You guys are a team. A family! Now please go out there and make me fucking proud!"
"Alright guys. Let's do this damn thing." I shouted. All the guys yelled in agreement. The gates to the field then began to rise. This was it. It all came down to this moment.
The guys ran onto the field. Carlos and I were a few of the guys at the end. I was team captain so I was last. I jogged behind Carlos. The arena was loud. The floors felt like they were shaking. I took a look around. I felt Carlos leave my side. I quickly turned and saw him run towards Morgan. I chuckled. Of course he'd go to his girlfriend. I went back to my task of finding my own. I searched the home team side. I knew in what area her seat was. I then found her.
She look beautiful as she stood clapping. She was wearing the jersey I had gotten her. The curls in her hair only enhanced her beauty. She was gorgeous. I smiled upon seeing her. She then grinned back at me. I looked over at coach for a brief second. This wouldn't take too long. I jogged over to her. She widened her eyes in surprise. I ignored my coach's yelling, wanting to kiss her. That would complete me.
"Blake! What are you doing?" She shouted at me. I then stood in front of her. She was even more beautiful up close. It's crazy to think that this beauty is all mine. And, I am going to make sure it's forever.
"Hi babe." I said smirking. I knew she'd scold me for not listening to my coach, but I didn't care. I wanted to be with her and only her. Not my smelly old, angry coach. She rolled her eyes at me causing my smirk to grow.
"Hi." She said quietly. I chuckled at her awkwardness. Even after everything we've been through, she still manages to be that shy girl I fell in love with.
"I missed you." I said grabbing her hand. That's when I noticed the rock. I stared at her, instantly knowing what it was. My heart seemed to beat faster. "Is this the promise ring I gave you?"
"Yeah, I felt like wearing." She said with red cheeks. I loved making her blush and I loved it even more knowing that I was the one that caused her embarrassment. It's one of the many things I love about her.
"I love you." I said with the most sincerity. She would soon know how much and I was going to make sure it was forever. She looked into my eyes. Her hazel irises shined in the light. They were beautiful. She was beautiful.
"I love you. Now go out there and win the game." She ordered. I let out a laugh. Bossy Krissy is hot. Shw usually never comes out. Add that to the list of things I love about her.
