Blake wrapped his arms around Krissy, not caring that he was missing his after game interviews. He had exactly what he wanted and ever needed. He looked down at the brunette with a huge grin on his face. She was holding her stomach, looking up at him with the same beautiful smile that she reserved for him. She had so much love and adoration for him and their soon to be son.
Blake was as successful as ever, if not more. He was at the top of his game, having just finished winning yet another Super Bowl. It was his third consecutive one since he found her again. Crazy to think that three years ago, Blake had no clue about Krissy or where she was. He had vowed to never make that mistake again. They are married.
Krissy felt a slight kick occur from the bottom of her stomach. She smiled at the sensation. Their son was happy for his dad's win. They had come to every single home game, not wanting to miss Blake play. It was a good thing she was her own boss. She could miss as many days as she'd like.
After about a year of being married, Blake suggested that she get her own law firm. At first, she was appaled. She would never dream of leaving Mr. Danforth. He had helped her reach her dream as well as took her under his wing. She didn't want to leave the comfort of his firm. But deep down, she knew she had to.
At first, she was hesitant on telling him. She had no idea how to run a firm or what was needed to start one. She only knew life from the intern and associate side. So, she told Marc of her plans. She only hoped he'd accept it with happiness. He asked her if she was sure of her next move, which she said yes to. He then began to explain everything needed for her to become the boss. He gave her nothing buy pure hope, luck, and excitement.
Next thing you know, she had moved into her own business space in Manhattan. She had signed on one of her classmates who she had studied with a few times. Together, they were achieving what few dreamed of doing. They had built their own empire.
It's been a year since she made the decision of leaving Mr. Danforth's firm. Now, she has over fifteen lawyers working for her. She knew that it'd be alright if she wasn't in the office for a few weeks, well months. She saw that as a sign to take her well deserved maternity leave. She was eight months pregnant after all.
When she first found out she was pregnant, she was scared. All she could think of was of the last time she was caring a child. She didn't want a repeat of last time, especially having lost two people she loved. So, she kept it quiet for a few weeks.
Blake didn't seem to notice. He was off at summer practice most of the time. She was busy in her firm, working on case after case. She seemed to have even forgotten that she was pregnant again. But that all soon came to an end.
She woke up early one morning, two months in to the pregnancy, with horrible morning sickness. She rushed out of their king sized bed into their bathroom, trying to stop the bile from escaping too early. She slammed the bathroom door open and propped herself against the toilet. Blake was quickly at her side, pulling her hair back.
He was confused as to what she had eaten that caused her to be sick. He began to rack his brain for a few ideas but came up short. He didn't know what was wrong. She hardly was ever sick. She doesn't even get a cold!
Blake didn't say anything to her until he knew she was alright. He watched as she finished excreting the bile. She then sat back against the wall, breathing hard. She was enjoying the coolness in provided. Blake quickly left her side and poured her a glass of water from the tap. She took it with a sad smile.
"Krissy, are you alright babe? What happened?" He asked. Krissy shook her head. She wasn't alright. She felt sick to her stomach and it wasn't because she was pregnant. It was because she hadn't told him that she was pregnant.
