Friends With Aaliyah Mendes

Friday

I woke up Friday morning with a huge grin on my face. I checked if I got a email from either Mason or Alissa. but nothing. I woke up and sped all through, my house trying to ready for school. I took a shower, braided my hair and put on a " Nike" shirt and leggings.

As soon as I got on the bus I raced to sit next to Aaliyah, " Aaliyah! When do Alissa and Mason post the player list?"

She explained, " They said they will post around 7 tonight. "

I shouted, " yay! Hey dude do you wanna come over to my place and hang out?"

She smiled, " yeah sure!" We talked about other stuff until we got to school. We got to school and went to all of our morning classes. At lunch we sat together with a boy named Ethan. After school we took the bus ride home together. We got to my house and I found a note on the kitchen table, " hey sweetie, happy Friday! I just wanna let you know that I picked up another shift tonight and I won't be home until later, but I made you chicken and a salad for dinner tonight. Love mom"
I slammed down the note. Aaliyah asked, " what's wrong?" I said sad, " my mom is not going to be home again, but hey she made dinner for us"
She laughed, " it's okay Sky."
I smiled, " thanks. Do you wanna listen to music while I make some food?" She nodded. She turned on " trumpets", " dessert" and " trust fund baby" while I was getting out the salad and the chicken.

While we were eating she told me about the hockey game tomorrow, " so the game starts at 7, so Shawn, Matt and I are going to pick you up around 6:15 since the rink is 30 mins away."
I nodded. Around 6:30 Aaliyah and I were walking YouTube when both of our phones went off, we looked at each other and ran to our phones.

Aaliyah checked her first. After a couple seconds of reading it she shouted, " yes I got in! "
I asked, " what does it say?"
She shouted, " everything! Your number, when's our first meeting!"
I put in my password into my phone and opened up my email... after reading it I yelled at the top of my lungs, " I got in Aaliyah!"
She hugged, " what's your number?"
I looked down at my phone, " 10. Yours?"
She said, " 8. I'm so exited for our first practice on Monday!"
Then she added, " I have to go and tell my parents. I will see you tomorrow, good bye and thanks for dinner." She ran outside.
I cleaned up the food. Put on my PJ's and sat in my room watching vines until I feel asleep.
