Friends With Aaliyah Mendes

A Couple Weeks After

I have not seen Aaliyah a lot recently. I mean yeah, I have seen her at school and at hockey, but I have not had a chance to really hang out with her, since I'm always busy with homework, hockey and lacrosse, but tonight that changes.

* Friday, Sep. 15th, 2018

Time: 3:15, school just ended*

I try to find Aaliayh. I usally have morning classes with her, but today she came to school a little late.

I see her walking out to the parking lot of the school.

" Aaliyah! Wait." I scream.

She turns around.

I gave her a huge hug, " Happy 15th Birthday Bestie!" She hugs me back.

She smiles " thanks!"

She adds, " hey be by my moms house at 4 because she is driving you, Mckenna and I to Shawns condo, since he has food, drinks and music there."

I smile.

We walk out together.

She sees Shawn pulling in, " need a ride home?" She asks.

I shook my head and started walking to the school bus.

I looked at Shawns dark green jeep right before I got on the school bus.

We waved 'hi' to me.

The bus drove me home and I had about 15 mins to get ready.

I looked into my closet and pulled out a plain white t-shirt with blue jean shorts, a blue, red and white flannel.

I wraped my gift for Aaliyah and started to had down to her house.

We all got into the car and drove to Shawns place.

Shawn greets us and invites us inside.

 He bear hugs Aaliyah, " my babysister is growning up so fast."

Shelaughs, " get off of me Shawn."

He keeps on hugging her for a little while longer.

We all go outside to his porch.

He tells everyone, " okay guys pizza will be here in about 10 mins."

Aaliyah, Mckenna and I are just hanging out until Shawn pushs me to the side.

"  hey Sky want anything to drink?" He asks.

" sure. May I have a water?" He smiles.

As just as he was about to walk away, I pulled him back, " wait... Do you need any help?" I ask.

He smiles at he again. I follow him inside to his kitchen.

"ok, My mom wants wine, My dad wants water, you want water, I want a beer, Mckenna wants a diet coke along with Aaliyah." He tells me.

I get the pop from the fridge and go otu their and give them to the girls. 

Shawn does the same for his parents.

We meet back into the kitchen.

H hands me a glass of ice water, and he opens his beer.

I thank him. He takes a sip of his beer.

I we are both leaning on the counter.

" so whens your birthday?" He asks me.

" October 1st." I say.

" wow so not that far away." he states. 

I nod my head.

We both heard the door bell and rushed over to it.

It was pizza.

As soon as eveyone got plates we dived right in.

After we ate the pizza it was present time.

Aaliyah opened her parents first. 

Her mom and dad got her gift card for 200 dollars for Victoria Secret.

Shawn got her a 100 dollar gift card to Dicks Sportin goods and another one for Urban Outfitters. 

Mckenna got her a neckless with a little golden heart.

I got her was matching jerseys for our hockey team.

The jersey are black and blue.

On hers it says Mendes 89 and then at the bottom in small letters it says, " The Better Mendes"

On my mine it said Stilinski 24 since that is my hockey and lacrosse number now.

At the bottom it does not say anything.

Everyone thought the jersey looked cool.

Shawn spoke out, " I never knew your last name was Stilinski."

I replied, " a lot of people don't."

Mrs. Mendes asked, " Why don't you share your last name." 

I laughed, " well first its pretty long, and its my moms maiden name. Also My parents really wanted a boy so they culd name him Stiles Stilinski after the hit movie, " Teen Wolf", but since they got a girl they changed it to Skylar."

Everyone went. "ohhhh"

Aftet that long talk aout my last name Mr. Mendes brought out the Cake. 

We sang Happy Birthday to Aaliyah, ate some cake and then about an hour later everyone went home since it was getting late, and Aaliyah is having another birthday party tomorrow too.
