*Amaya's POV*
Haru had gone upstairs to bed while Mako and I cleaned the kitchen. Bolin was talking to Mika and Korra was trying to Airbend outside.
"Amaya, Korra doesn't seem too confident with her Avatar abilities. I just don't think she's actually the Avatar" Mako said as he wiped off the small counter top.
"Well let's talk to her then" I said putting the last glass in the cupboard and calling Korra inside.
We all sat on the floor and the single couch that sat on the side of the room.
"Korra, how's Avatar training going?" I said with a smile. She smiled and hesitated as if she was fighting with herself.
"What's wrong?" Mika asked.
"You guys know The White Lotus don't you? Well, Master Chang was teaching me Firebending when I fainted" she paused and gulped. "When I woke up, my Earthbending had vanished along with the little spiritual connection I had"
"So what does that mean?" Bolin asked.
"I'm not the Avatar. The White Lotus said that it wasn't me. All the bending I did as a child was my body determining which element it wanted to bend. it decided on water" she said with silent tears streaming down her face. "They told me it's in the family though. So it's one of you." With that she sniffled, wiped her eyes and went upstairs to bed.
Mako and Bolin turned to Mika and I as another knock on the door sounded through the house.
Mika got up and answered the door. A few minutes later, three men came inside.
I groaned burying my face in Mako's chest feeling his arms wrap around me. "Nice to see you again too Amaya and Mika" one of the men chuckled.
"White Lotus Sentries" Mika and I muttered.
"Seems like your younger sister, Korra, wasn't actually the Avatar. What we know is that the Avatar is in the same bloodline" the main sentry said. "We know you two are twins and there is a small, unlikely chance that both of you are the Avatar but most likely its only one" He said. "For the next couple of days, you two will be living on Air Temple Island so we can determine who is the actual Avatar. You may bring a friend with you."
They walk out of the room into the kitchen as I turn to Mako and Mika turns to Bolin. They both sigh and nod.
-----
The next morning, Mako, Bolin, Mika and I moved all of our belongings to Air Temple Island.
Jinora, Ikki and Milo all came and tackled Maki and I in a hug bringing us to the ground so naturally, Mako and Bolin join in.
After a while, they get bored and decide to get up as Ikki keeps rambling on about the island.
"Girls sleep on this side and boys on that side" Ikki smiles jumping up and down in excitement.
Pema comes up with a smile "Milo, How about you brings these fine young men to the boys' dorms"
Milo smiled and turns to Mika and I "We will meet again beautiful ladies" before he pulls Bolin and Mako away leaving us laughing.
"Jinora. Lead the way" Mika giggles.
Ikki follows Pema back inside helping her up the stairs while Jinora leads us to the dorms.
Later that evening, I decide to go for a walk. It's late at night and the stars are out. The sentries were listening to reruns of Probending Matches and Old time Sitcoms as I walked by.
I turned a corner to see the contraption I've been waiting to find. The Rotating Gates.
I smiled and got Jinora who was walking around feeding the Flying Leemurs and visiting with the Air Bison.
