Chapter 14: Confusion

"Oh Hey guys, How's it going? Me? Oh, good, I've just been here bored underground and pestered about being forced to join the Queen's secret Airbender Army" I say casually as I walk through the room and plop down next to Bolin.

Everyone gapes at me before Beifong and Tenzin run out of the guest house. I shrug and fold my arms behind my head and my legs outstretched on the table in front of me.

"Amaya, we were so worried!" Asami said running up with Mako, Bolin, Korra and Mika.

"Then why didn't you come find me! I've been missing for two days!" I said anger rising in me. They all looked ashamed. They should be.

"Beifong said it wasn't safe and wouldn't let us out of her sight so we couldn't slip away" Bolin explained.

"Well, tell that to Kai and the rest of the Airbenders down there" I muttered. Their eyes widened before they all went running out. Mako came running back in scooped me up in his arms, threw me on his back, then ran back out.

The sight in front of us was shocking and unbelievable. All of the useless Dai Li Agents were standing in formation while Tenzin, Lin, Korra and a whole group of Airbenders were climbing the structure behind them.

The Dai Li began to attack making the structure shake and wobble. I growled and jumped into front of the Airbenders who were climbing up to Oogi.

I started sending flames and gust of wind at them, but I was still at a disadvantage since there were one of me and a whole crap load of them.

Mika jumped out and started helping me as she bended huge chunks of rock and sent streams of water at them. For a moment, they froze at the sight of two girls bending all four elements.

Mako and Bolin joined us soon and it was four on a whole lot of other people.

"Go! Get to the Airship!" I yell at Mika, Bolin and Mako once I see Oogi fly off. Mika drags Bolin off before he gets hit with a huge piece of rock. "Mako, go! I'll hold them off" He groans but picks me up placing me on his back as he runs to the airship. I continue shooting air and fire behind me. Occasionally burning Mako's hair making him groan.

"Sorry about your hair.... and your skin" I mumble awkwardly as Mika heals his head that I had burned.

"Come on guys! There's been a report of a new airbender!" Korra says running up to us.

"Funny, last time you said that, I wasn't expecting to get kidnapped by the bitchy Earth Dictator who was making a secret air army!" I said sarcastically.

"Come on. Its in Zaofu, one of the most secure cities in the world" she explains. I shrug and walk off with Mika following behind me who looks a little frustrated. I've been frustrated too. My bending has been acting weird.

"Mika, How've you been?" I say as we walk around outside. She shrugs.

"My Bending's been acting up" she says "the other day I swear I was airbending" she mutters.

"Me too! only I was earthbending. We really need to get our bending abilities in check. I mean there's probably a lot of people confused" Insert Studio Audience Laughing here. She laughs and pushes me but it sends me flying over to side of the ship.

I start to panic but grab onto the side of the ship and push sending me flying back onto the deck. Mika looks horrified and shocked.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to!" she started panicking. I laugh but shrug it off.

"It's okay Mika, calm down. Let's go tell Tenzin" I say walking back inside with a flame in one hand and a rock floating in the other. I honestly don't know what type of bending I'm doing but I can now Firebend, Airbend and Earthbend and it feels weird because I'm not the Avatar and neither is Mika.

"Tenzin!" I call. I see his shiny bald head pop out from behind the paper with an unamused expression on his face.

"Yes Amaya?" he says.

"You won't believe what we just discovered" Mika beamed.

"What? You guys can now bend another element?" he scoffs and chuckles. I exchange a look with Mika before turning back to Tenzin.

"We can actually" I say "Mika can Airbend now" he perks up at that.

"And you?"

"Earthbending" I say.

"WHA! Who can Earthbend?!" I hear two voices. I turn to see Bolin and Lin walking towards us.

"Amaya can. We have a new Airbender!" Tenzin says with a grin.

"Bolin, you'll be helping Amaya with her Earthbending" Lin shrugs off but as she walks away I can see a small smile on her face.

Our bending is so confusing. I mean come on! It keeps changing and it was only after Harmonic Convergence! It must of been when we went into the spirit world.

I just hope I don't die learning how to Earthbend. Bolin grins at me before dragging me into a room which is made of rocks and metal.

It's settled I'm going to die. When people say die trying, this is how I'm going to die. I'm going to die trying to earthbend.
