*Amaya's POV*

That evening when we got back to the island, we were greeted by Hiroki, Tenzin, Master Chang, Master Katara and Master Yu.

Mika and I hesitated before Hiroki spoke. "You girls blatantly disobeyed my orders, you two continued to participate in the Probending Matches even though you're both the Avatar!"

I narrowed my eyes and crossed my arms "Listen, You never gave us any rules! You never told us we couldn't Probend"

He froze before recovering. "As of now, you two will not probend and will remain on the island" he sighed in frustration "Now, Amaya, Master Chang and Master Tenzin will be teaching you while Master Yu and Master Katara will help Mika"

"But we already know fire and earth" Mika said causing Master Chang to raise an eyebrow.

"Really now? Which one is the Firebender?" he asked as I raised my hand timidly.

He smirked and shot a complicated form of flames at me which I dodged and weaved and just barely missed before sending one right back.

Finally Tenzin broke up the mini fight, standing in between us. "That's enough"

Master Chang smiles, "You are very good young lady. You have much experience and are very determined to the practice of Firebending."

Mako walks up and bows to the Masters. "I'm sorry to interrupt but Amon has sent a message to the Airbenders"

Tenzin steps forward "Mako, what did he say?"

"Airbenders should watch out. He's planning on wiping out the Airbenders for good" Mako said, flames of anger coming from his hands catching Master Chang's attention.

"Young man. What element do you bend?"

"Fire" he said creating a ball of fire in the palm of his hand.

Chang nods and turns to talk to Master Yu as I turn to Mako.

"What do you mean he wants to wipe our Airbenders?" I whispered as Tenzin turned to talk to Katara and Hiroki.

"That's what Shady Shin heard from Skoochy" Bolin whispered from next to me. Mako nodded and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Guys, I know Skoochy supposedly sees everything but I don't think you should believe any of the Triple Threats" Mika says walking up as the Masters walk off.

"Coming from the two girls who were part of the Triple Threat Triad back when you first came to Republic City" Haru said as he walked with Ikki who was gushing over the boy walking with him. "Putting innocent benders and non benders through torture- oops sorry Enhanced Interrogation."

Mako and Bolin stared at us with a mixture of shock, outrage and awe in their eyes.

"What is he talking about?" Mako questioned crossing his arms across his chest.

Mika and I looked down at the ground and tried to back away without being noticed but the Brothers noticed and scooped us both in their arms and walked over to the Ferries that take people from Airbender island and Avatar Aang Memorial Island and the city.

"Where are you guys taking us?" Mika yawned relaxing in Bolin's arm while I was squirming and wiggling in Mako's.

"I am so close to putting you on my shoulder or on my back. Just stop struggling!" He would say in my ear making me shoot fire from my index finger into his arm.

He growled in pain and glared at me. Bolin unlocked our house and held the door for Mako and I.

Bolin took Mika into the dining room, placed her on the table and held her hands down and began talking about something.

Mako placed my on the kitchen counter and did the same.

His face was so close to my face as he began talking about the Triple Threat Triad.

"Lightning Bolt Zolt and Shady Shin and Two Toed Ping are no good Amaya! Why were you involved with them?!"

"Mako! Mika and I were abandoned orphans living out on the streets, scrounging for food. We had no money, no food, no shelter no nothing! I did what I had to do to survive! It was my sister and I that's it! My brother wanted nothing to do with us because he thought we were the Avatar until he found out Korra was it! We were broke and desperate!" I snapped. When I was done I took a deep breath as I heard Mika yelling the same thing as I just did.

Mako stood in silence, his eyes wide.

"I'm sorry Amaya, I know how you feel. We worked with the Triple Threats but not we only ran numbers and errands for them" He said looking down.

I nodded and told him I was going down to the market which was run down the street. Mako offered to go with me but I said I was fine going by myself.

I grabbed some money and made my way down to the store at the end of the street. My neighbor, Zula, came out and smiled at me before walking next to me.

"Hi Zula, How have you been?"

She shrugs "Skoochy is always out late more often and I'm afraid he's getting involved with the Triple Threats or the Agni Kai or the Red Monsoons."

Skoochy is Zula and her husband, Tumji, son. Every time we need to know something about the city, Skoochy knows.

"Don't worry Zula, he's probably just playing around in the square with his friends" I smile.

She smiles before it turns into a suspicious smirk. "So, I've noticed two certain bending brothers visiting more often and a certain FireBending hottie"

"Oh, that's Mako" I shrug it off.

"And Mika and that EarthBending boy?"

"Thats Bolin, his younger brother"

"And are you and Mako dating? like official?" Zula says anxious with anticipation of the answer.

I shrug "It's Complicated"

She sighed defeatedly. "I'm going to find out then"

I groan as we approach the market and go inside. I get all the groceries and start home.

As I approach our now part time residence I see Zula standing on the front stoop with Mako who looks rather flustered at the moment.

"Zula" I groan as I walk up the path to the front door.

"So Mako, Are you and Amaya official?" She smiles trying to hold back her smirk. He looks between a anticipating Zula and an uncaring and unentertained Amaya.

"It's Complicated" he mutters pulling me inside and pushing me against the wall.

"Be my girlfriend or I will kiss you until you say yes" he said looking into my brown eyes with his.

I could feel his minty breath that had a hint of burnt ash just like all the fire benders did.

His lips were coming ever closer to mine and I didn't stop it. I didn't push him away I didn't say anything. His lips collided with mine in a passionate kiss that lasted all but too short.

He pulled back with a knowing smirk. I took a deep and much needed breath before whispering "I'll be your girlfriend" it was barely audible but he heard it because he smiled and pulled me in for another kiss this one passionate yet loving.
