Chapter 16: Training

It's been about two weeks since I found about Asami and Mako. I don't really care anymore, We've arrived in Zaofu and I'm working with Korra and Tenzin to train Opal.

"Hello Amaya" I hear a voice as I make my way through the large metal city. I turn to see Lin and her sister, Suyin. They look exactly alike except their hairstyles.

"What can I do for you, Chief Beifong?" I say politely.

"I heard you've decided to join the force when we get back" she smiled proudly. "I'm sure your parents would be proud"

"Amaya, I heard you've just discovered a hidden talent" Su says with a smile. I nod.

"I can Earthbend" I smile.

"Well, if your sister and yourself want to learn how metalbend just ask" she smiled as she walks away.

"Hey Amaya, Wanna take a walk?" Mika says coming up next to me. I smile and nod, wanting some alone time with my sister.

We stumbled upon the rock garden, where multiple types of rock and metal were sitting on pedestals or scattered across the lawn in a decorative manner.

"Hey Mika, Look I can Metalbend!" I said jokingly picking up a small metal cube from a pedestal. I started pushing it jokingly until it flattened into a sheet. I just stood there gaping at the now flat piece of metal.

"Mika" I say calmly even though in freaking out inside. She saw what I had done and gaped at me until she grabbed a metal sphere and did the same actions, just for it to morph into a perfect pyramid.

We stood there gaping at each other until I heard a pair of footsteps heading our way.

"Amaya! Hey!" I groan at the familiar voice. Why must people be so persistent? Why is it that everybody wants to talk to me today!

"What?" I say bitterly turning around and glaring at Mako.

"I need to explain what happened the other day" he said with a hopeful glint in his eye. Really? This again.

"No, now leave" I say killing him in my head. "You've explained everything. Haven't you heard the phrase 'Actions speak louder than words'"

"Please" he begs.

"No! Now leave!" She said, about to send a blonder at him but decided not to. I have her look and she just shrugged before glaring at Mako. She held up a finger to him before turning to me and completely losing it.

"What did we just do!" She started screaming. Lin, Korra and Bolin come running out. I look at them for support and help calming her down.

"What happened?" Beifong said. Mika

Smiled and held out her metal pyramid before grabbing my arm and making me show my now flattened cube.

"Mika, You can Metalbend?" Bolin said with a slightly disappointed tone. He looked down before putting on a smile and looking back up.

"I don't know, it just happened!" She said still shocked and jumping around.

"Try to do it again, girls" Lin said handing us normal metal. I heard Su tell one of her students to focus on the finer bits of rock inside so that's exactly what I did. Sooner or later, it turned into a rectangle making Lin smile at both of us. Mika was now holding a weird blob shape.

"How is that even possible?" Korra asks. "Amaya just discovered Earthbending . I would understand if it was Mika" I glared playfully at Korra.

"Well, your mother is a Firebender and your father was a Earthbender. So that can explain it" Mika beams and hugs me tightly as she giggles.
