Four - At the Hospital

Someone's POV

Everything was in full chaos. All the doctors were running in all directions as they tried their best to revive all the people who were involved in the accident. It was indeed a big accident because aside from the truck and the Park's car, there were also 3 other SUVs that were involved.

On the way to the hospital, Hyena was slipping in and out of consciousness. There were instances when you can see her struggling to breathe on her own. At times, you can even see her crying. She was probably thinking about the things that happened. It was supposed to be a very happy trip, but because of one drunk driver, things ended in one tragic accident.

The ambulance that has Hyena's parents arrived first. Many doctors attended to their condition right away. They tried their best to revive Mr. and Mrs. Park, but unfortunately, the truck's impact was so hard that it the doctors couldn't do anything anymore. The couple died while they were in surgery. The same faith happened with the truck's driver. He died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

After a few minutes, the ambulance that took Hyena to the hospital came. The nurses immediately put her body out into a stretcher, so that a doctor could examine her right away.

"We are beginning to lose her. Hurry up, and prepare the scanner. Call the Operating Room as well." Dr. Kim, the doctor in charge shouted. They were all trying to remain calm, though inside they were all starting to panic. They could all see that the young woman was starting to struggle for her life.

After accessing her condition, she was immediately rolled to the Operating Room. It took over two hours before the doctor went out, but you could tell that there was a problem just by looking at how the doctor's forehead creased.

She lost a lot of blood, and they really needed to replace them ASAP or else it might be too late for her. The doctor immediately looks for the nurse to inquire about their blood supply in the hospital.

"Nurse Choi." Dr. Kim said.

Nurse Choi stood up right away to face the doctor.

"The patient lost a lot of blood." he continued. "We really need to replace them now. Do we have enough blood supply in the hospital's blood bank?"

Nurse Choi shook her head. "I am deeply sorry Dr. Kim. We don't have enough blood supply already. The only thing that we can do now is to call other hospitals, or the Blood Bank to check if they have the blood type that we need. Or we could also ask some people here if anyone is willing to donate some of their blood." the nurse responded.

"Please do all the things that you could do. We can't afford to lose the patient." the doctor said. "She lost her parents already. We can't just let her die as well."

The nurse nodded, and she hurriedly went back to her station to do what the doctor just ordered. As the doctor was about to leave, a young man approached him.

"Jogiyo." he quietly said and bowed. "Jwesong hamnida. I am really sorry to disturb you, but I overheard you talking to the nurse a while ago. Are you still looking for possible blood donors? May I know what blood type were you looking for?"

The young doctor instantly looked at the young man. "Yes! We are looking for someone who has blood Type B, and we really need it ASAP."

"Oh!" He exclaimed and smiled at the doctor. "Me and my friend both have that blood type. I think we could somehow help you."

"Chincharo?! Thank God! That's great news! We really need them. As you know, there was a tragic accident that happened a while ago, and a young lady badly needs it as she lost a lot of blood." he sighed. "Can we do it now? Is your friend with you?"

"Neh! He just went to the bathroom." he smiled.

"What is your name young man, so that I could thank you properly." he said as he bowed to him.

"There's no need for you to thank me." he shook his head, and he bowed at him, too. "I am happy that I could help. By the way, my name is Woohyun. Nam Woohyun."

"Woohyun-shi, thank you very much," he told him.

"Nurse Choi" he hurriedly called the nurse. "Please do assist Mr. Nam. Once his friend arrived, please take them to the laboratory. We really need all the help that we can get."

"Neh, Dr. Kim." Nurse Choi said.

He turned towards Woohyun, "My name is Dr. Kim Heechul, but you can just call me Heechul hyung. I guess I am just about 5 years older than you." he smiled, and bowed at him. "Again, jeongmal kamsa hanmida! Thank you very much for your help. We really appreciate it. Will you excuse me? I really need to go back to the room, and check on her again."

Dr. Kim went back to the Operating Room to monitor Hyena's condition. He really hopes that he could save the young lady. He can't afford to lose one more patient today.

Woohyun patiently waited for the nurse as she was getting ready all the things that they will be needing for a blood transfusion.

Just as Woohyun removed his cap, the nurse almost dropped the things she was carrying. She looked at him, and Woohyun heard the nurse gasp as she recognized him. "Oh, my God! Mr. Nam Woohyun. You are a member of INFINITE, right?!"

"Shhh. Jebal! Please be quiet, agashi." he said pleading to the nurse. "I just really want help. I overheard your conversation with Dr. Kim a while ago, and I know that you really need help, that's why I decided to approach him immediately," he explained.

"Arrasso. I was just too shocked when I saw you. You were wearing a cap a while ago, so I was startled when I saw your face clearly now." Nurse Choi said. "By the way, who are we waiting for?"

"Oh, it is Sungyeol. He just went to the bathroom a while ago," he said.

"Okay. I will just leave you for a while so that I could prepare everything that we need," she said. "Please call me when Mr. Lee has arrived." The nurse bowed at him, and he did the same.

"Neh!" he said.

"What's taking Sungyeol long?" Woohyun wondered. "Oh well, I am really happy that I could help someone out, but I somewhat feel bad too because I dragged Sungyeol to this. I know how much he really hates needles," he said as he smirked at himself.
