In September the ball begins to roll
Bright eyed and ready, we enter the halls
The soccer, music, and work take no toll
Laughs and learning are felt within the walls;
The rooms are filled with old and new faces
The courses are new, the work is the same
We settle down into our old places
Will someone step out and make their own name?
But let's stay put for a moment or two
We can't promise anything right then
What on earth could exist that we can't do
Are we not already women and men?
At the last stage of our educations
We are burdened with great expectations.
