WARNING: this chapter is fairly short, I'm currently in the middle of moving. Its got it's perks and disadvantages. I get to live in a nice house, but I have alot of work to do. Lol and I won't have good wifi for a bit. Ugh. Oh well, it'll be worth it in the end. Anyways, Hope you enjoy❤❤❤

The homework was done, it had been for a bit. Marinette stared blankly at the time on her computer screen, as if it were going to go by any faster.

It was 7:30 p.m.

She knew she was stalling.

She could patrol for 2 hours, get back at around 9:30, and hopefully get to bed. She decided that taking a shower in the morning was in her best favor.

Though lately, she herself wasn't even in her best favor.

She sighed, glancing over to tikki, who was watching Marinette from the corner of her desk.

"Mari..." she looked at her with concern, which made sense, she was concerned.

She wasn't sure what exactly was going through that girls head, but she had a feeling it wasn't a good thing.

"Let's go." she smiled, her eyes red.

She was crying again. And Tikki couldn't do anything about it.

She tried, but any time she'd get close to an answer, Marinette would shut her down, and brush it off as nothing.

It wasn't nothing.

But Marinette wouldn't tell her that.

"Tikki...spots on." she tearfully whispered.

The warm sensation took over her, almost feeling therapeutic against her. Out of all the emotions she was having, she could at least count on Tikki to calm her down.

It was something about being Ladybug that really made her feel.....different.

Better? Maybe.

Maybe not.

But at least she could lie easier. Because Ladybug had always played a bit of an act anyways.

It was natural.

But It wasn't this time.

She felt confused, like she didn't remember how to do this, be Ladybug.

How was she supposed to act again? Acting around her friends had seemed easy. But she had nearly forgotten how to act as Ladybug.

She was acting too much.

Of course, She wouldn't let herself believe that.

She climbed onto her balcony, familiar scents of Paris flooding her nose. From the gasoline of the cars, to the pastries of her bakery. The smells didn't make sense together, but they were like home to her.

This was home to her.

But she felt so lost. She knew paris, like the back of her hand. She had ran across the whole city more a times than she could count. She knew where everything was, to the exact location.

But she had no idea where she was.

She hesitantly pulled her yoyo off of her waist, twisting it in her hands for a moment.

She nearly forgot how to use it, before she finally managed to throw it, and get it caught on one of the buildings.

She stared for a moment, before yanking the rope, and feeling her body swing forwards.

She felt tired, and her vision was blurry. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that she hadn't eaten.

But she already knew that.

She looked around the city, swinging from building to building, hearing a few people shouting her name.

They were always happy to see her.

Sometimes she didn't understand why.

Lost in thought, she almost didn't see the building she was approaching. She tried to sling herself to the left, but she was already too close.

She braced herself with her foot, kicking upwards to keep from running straight into the building.

Her foot slipped once she got herself onto the ledge, as she went flying over the roof of the building.

She tumbled over the roof, rolling roughly onto her ankle, a sharp and tingly pain quickly taking over.

She hissed in agony, gritting her teeth as she hurried as quick as she could to move her ankle from under her.

She felt a bit of relief as the pressure of her body was gone, followed by more aching pain caused by the movement.

She bit her lip, over looking the damage.

She closed her eyes, feeling the tears welling up.

Her ankle was most definitely broken, her bone quite obviously out of place. This wasn't suppose to happen to superheroes. This wasn't suppose to happen to ladybug, Ladybug didn't get hurt.

But here she was, broken ankle, on the top of a roof. Her suit was indestructible, not her bones. Stupid flawed magic, the suit moves with the body, even if that means rolling with the ankle.

All because she wasn't paying attention. Add that to the list of failures.

She attempted to look around, but the ledge didn't allow her to see far. She tried to pick herself up, using her yoyo attached to a part of the roof as leverage.

She managed to get halfway there, but found it too hard to stand without applying pressure to her ankle. It honestly didn't hurt too bad yet, she was still in shock, completely unprepared for this inconvenience.

She got a good enough look around to know where she was, yet she still wasn't quite sure.

She sighed in defeat, opening up her yoyo to its call feature.

"Chat....." she shook, looking down at her ankle again.

There was no way he would pick up, he didn't know she was even out at the moment.

"M'lady?"

She jumped at the sound, causing her more pain.

"Are you okay????" he asked, hearing the small whimper she had made.

"Just peachy....." she grunted through gritted teeth.

"Chat just....just meet me....here? Use the location...." she said, trying desperately not to look at her foot.

"What's wrong?" he asked, even more concerned than before. She wasn't showing her face to the camera.

An akuma?

No, he would've heard about it already.

He used the GPS tracker in his baton to find ladybugs location, which was connected with his weapon and hers through some sort of trackers.

"I just...."

Why was she so embarrassed?

She would have to tell him anyways.

"I just broke my ankle..." She sighed.
