I honestly am not mad that Kaya kept it from us that she is in a gang. It's her decision. If she didn't think we needed to know, then obviously we don't need to know. Although, I didn't even know that Kaya had a little sister. She didn't tell Nicole or I that. The people in Kaya's gang seem nice and entertaining, I don't know why she kept it a secret. But now, I know why Nicole and I were never allowed to meet Dromo, he was in a gang too.
Nicole didn't speak to Kaya basically all day. Damon, Maxxie, and Ember didn't even talk to us all day either. It was obvious that Ember only likes being around Maxxie and that's it. He seems to like being a loner. Maxxie enjoys both Damon and Ember's company, but mostly Ember. It's obvious that Maxxie has a crush on Ember but Ember seems too oblivious to even realise.
As for me, I talked to Kaya alot and asked her more about everyone in her gang. She seemed eager to tell me all about it and honestly, I was happy to hear about it. The gang was like her family. They took her in when she needed shelter and she didn't even know Nicole and I when she met the gang. Her sister, Mia lives with the gang because even though Kaya hates her sister, she refuses to let her sister live with her mom. Kaya never speaks about her sister because she never feels the need to. Kaya also has a brother named Aiden. She refuses to talk about him though. She says that she doesn't want to waste her breath talking about him.
After school, Nicole went home, not allowing Kaya and I to come with her. Kaya and I went to my house. "So, you only have two siblings?" I ask, cutting up apples for us to eat. Kaya nods, sipping on the apple juice I gave her. "How old is Aiden?" I ask. "17." Kaya answers bitterly, as if she doesn't even want to say the number. "Are you guys twins? You are both 17." I ask. "We are twins. Now please stop asking about him." Kaya says, pushing her cup away from her in disgust that we are talking about her brother. "Sorry.." I say, trying to keep in all of my unanswered questions such as "where is he?", "Why do you hate him?", "Is he still alive?", "Who is the older twin?", "What is he like?", Etc. But I knew that it would be best if I didn't ask any of my questions.
