I head to dance class after school, excited as ever. I love going to dance class. Dancing is my passion and I have done it since i was six years old.
When i get to dance class, i see Miranda and I walk over to her. I convinced her to join because she loves dance too but she was afraid to be in a dance class when she didnt know anyone.
Today we had to have a partner. Miranda decided to partner up with a guy that she found cute. Everyone was already partnered up... except for Valerie.. I didnt even know she was in this class. I knew i had no choice but to partner with her.
I walk over to her and she smiles instantly. "Do you want to be partners?" I asked. She eagerly nodded her head yes. Its only for dance class, so i can deal with her for one class period.
After the teacher gave us instructions, Valerie and I started practicing. I placed right hand on Valerie's right thigh and placed my left hand on her left side. I lift her up over my head, as instructed, and i twirl around, then place her on the floor. I hold out my hand for her and she takes it, as she twirls and then lets go of my hand and twirls across the room, falling on the ground.
I roll my eyes. She cant do a simple twirl across the room? Why is she in this class?
I watch as everyone else gets the dance correct after one try and it takes Valerie five tries to not fall. I will never be her partner again.
After class, i rushed out of the room, irritated. Valerie calls after me but i ignore her. I didnt want to be partners with someone who constantly stares at me anyway, and then she ends up being a terrible dancer.
When i get home, Terry is at the house. "What, is he living here now?" I ask, setting down my dance bag. Damon shrugs and continues to type on his laptop, as he was when i came in.
I sigh and walk upstairs, putting my sweaty shirt in the hamper in my room. I then head right for the shower.
