I couldn't answer Christina. The words would not form in my mouth. "She got ran over by a semi-truck and the doctors wont let us see her yet." Terry answers for me.
I was with Kaya when it happened. I was chasing her because she wouldnt let me talk to her and she ran out in the middle of the road, without looking. I yelled her name but it was too late. She was already under the semi-truck... I couldnt save her. She was too fast.
Just then, Aiden comes into the hospital. I look at him and he looks very worried and exsaughted. He immediately goes to the counter to ask for Kaya. "Are you family?" The lady asks. He nods his head and the lady walks away with him.
Aiden's View
The receptionist takes me to Kayas room. I brace myself before i walk in. My eyes water at the sight of her. She's in a body cast and both of her legs are elevated. "I will go get the doctor." The receptionist says, leaving the room.
I stand next to Kaya. I cant even recognize her. She's sleeping and has a oxygen mask on. I sit in the chair next to the bed and just wait for the doctor.
When the doctor walks in, she shakes my hand. "You are the brother?" She asks. I nod my head. "Her entire body is bruised and her right arm is broken. Both of her legs are nonfunctional and I'm worried that she might be paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of her life." The doctor says.
My heart sinks into my body at her words. I couldnt talk. My mouth felt dry and i felt tears fill my eyes. "She has friends in the lobby and they all want to come in. We are only allowing two in at a time though. You get to choose which two can come in." She says. I stay quiet. "I will let you know if there are changes in her condition in time." She tries to give me a warm smile and she walks out.
I stand up and i feel like my legs are numb. I go to the lobby and stand in front of her friends. "Only two of you can come in at a time. You guys can decide." I say, choking back my tears.

Aiden takes Christina and I to Kaya's room. Terry wanted to come too but i couldnt say what i wanted to say to Kaya with him in the room.
When we walk in the room, my legs freeze. I couldnt move. Christina rushes to Kaya's left side, placing her hand on Kaya's. Aiden looks at me with a saddened look and he ushers me to the right side of Kaya. "Be careful. Her right arm is broken." Aiden whispers. "They are afraid she will be paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of her life." He says, his words breaking my heart.
