*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
the annoying screeching of my alarm woke me up. i turned over to the night table beside my bed and got my phone from it. when it turned on, there was a text from Jonah. he's my neighbour who also goes to school with me. he has no idea that i have feelings for him, but he'll find out soon.
jonah: hey
i replied with a "hey" back.
jonah: you coming to school today?
sadie: no, my mom's letting me skip. OF COURSE I'M COMING DO I HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICE?!? 😂
jonah: wow you're mean
i rolled my eyes, smiling and he was making a face in his window which was across from mine. i just laughed and went to get ready for the boring torture which was called school. but hey, at least i'll see Jonah.
after i brushed my teeth and washed my face, i got a short white sweater and my favorite pair of Vans out of my closet. i also got my ripped jeans out of my drawer and i put a gold necklace on and went downstairs.
"morning." i said to my mom.
"good morning! how was your sleep?" she asked.
"it was fine." i said.
"well, i made breakfast today. hurry up or else you'll be late."
i sat down at the table in the kitchen and my mom gave me a plate with my favorite, pancakes. i got excited and i started eating. five minutes later, they were all gone.
i put my plate in the sink and headed out the door, putting my backpack on on the way out. i started walking when i heard Jonah yelling my name.
he caught up with me and the next thing i knew he was walking beside me.
"did you study for the dumb history pop quiz?" he asked
"oh, shoot. i forgot."
"suree!" he teased.
i slapped him on the arm.
"ow!" he said, rubbing it.
"it's a pop quiz, we probably won't even get a grade for it."
"well if we do, get ready to see a 15%."
i slapped him again.
"you know that kind of hurts, right?"
"if i didn't, then i obviously wouldn't be doing it." i laughed.
i looked up and the school was right in front of us. i looked at the time on my phone, it was 8:24. six minutes until school starts. Jonah and i walked in and his friends Corbyn and Daniel were walking down the hall when they saw us.
"hey bro!" they said to him.
"hey guys!" he replied excitedly.
"oh hey Sadie!" Daniel said.
"hi, Daniel."
"ok i'm gonna go, we'll see you at lunch though." Jonah said as he started walking away with Daniel and Corbyn. they were too far away now so i didn't bother saying bye back.
