"what?" i started blushing, and i could see that Jonah was too.
"i re-"
there was a knock on the door. a nurse came in.
"good afternoon. i just have to check a few things. you can continue what you were doing before." she said.
"oh, no it's okay. i was just leaving anyways." i looked at Jonah, who was getting a sad look on his face.
"sorry." i mouthed. i walked over to him and leaned down to give him a little hug. i felt his arms around me, even though he had an IV in one arm.
"i'll come back tomorrow." i said, pulling away from the hug.
"you promise?" he asked.
"i promise."
he had a smile on his face again. and i waved at him and walked out the door. the boys were waiting for me in the waiting area. Corbyn saw me approaching and said something to the rest of the boys. he stood up.
"so what did Jonah say to you?" he asked with a slight smirk on his face. i noticed it and wondered what was going on.
"what's with the smirk?" i asked laughing.
"um nothing."
"well anyways he just said some things."
"like?"
"i already told you. things."
"okay, but what kind of things?" he was still smirking.
"things that you don't need to know." i told him with my face closer to his. he looked at the others with some weird signal. he looked back at me after. i made a weird face, confused by what they were doing.
"okay, you ready to go?" he finally asked.
"yep." just then i remembered Maddie and Emma. "oh! could you maybe drop me at Emma's house?" i added.
"sure. just give me her address."
we all went in the elevator and went down to the first floor of the hospital, where Corbyn's car was parked. we all walked out and got in, buckling our seatbelts after. i told him Emma's address and he started driving. as the car was moving, Zach and Daniel kept looking at me. i started getting suspicious.
"okay why are you guys staring at me?" i asked. Daniel was about to open his mouth when Jack interrupted him.
"no, Daniel."
"no what?" Corbyn asked.
"bro, he's gonna tell her."
"tell her what?" Corbyn was confused too. Jack then nudged him.
"oh! guys, we have to let Jonah tell her himself."
i was starting to get pretty annoyed so i let it out.
"tell me what!?!?" i said loudly. all the boys sighed.
"okay, tell her." Jack said.
"who, me?" Daniel asked.
"someone just tell me! i don't care who!!"
"Jonah likes you!" Zach exclaimed.
"what? really? what?" i almost freaked out.
"you know yesterday at school? when i ran away from him to talk to you?" Jack asked.
"yep." i said.
"yeah so Jonah and Corbyn walked home together because i wasn't there and he told Corbyn that he likes you. and Corbyn told us all, because we're all super close to him. he's practically like our older brother."
"wait, Jack did you know?" Corbyn asked.
"well i kind of found out." Jack replied.
"what?" i asked.
"um. that you uh, like Jonah." everyone gasped.
"oh my gosh now everyone in this car knows."
"we kinda knew before, too." Daniel said.
"yeah, you gave us a lot of signs and stuff." Zach said.
"i guess i did, yeah."
"well now you know. so now you'll either have to act surprised when Jonah tells you or one of us will have to tell him that you already know."
"i'll tell him."
"actually guys, we should. we're the ones who told her. and now he's gonna kill us." Daniel said.
"okay. i'll talk to him about it after. buy you guys should wait until he's out of the hospital." i said.
"yeah, we will." Corbyn said.
we kept driving for a few more minutes.
"oh. her house is on the left." i told Corbyn.
"the greyish one?"
"yeah."
Corbyn pulled up onto Emma's driveway. i got out of the car and said bye to everyone and went up the stairs to her front porch. i rang the doorbell and a few seconds later Emma opened it, and Maddie was standing behind her.
