Jonah got up out of his seat and started walking over to my side of the table.

i looked at Emma and she looked at me.

"Jadie." she said.

"oh so now you have a---" i was interrupted, by Jonah. who was kissing me on my cheek. 

no one went "ooo" instead, it was completely quiet. i didn't care though, because i started feeling hot inside, and i was jumping and yelling for joy on the inside. after about ten seconds, my cheeks weren't covered anymore. and then that's when people were screaming.

everyone was chanting the name "Jadie" over and over again when the bell rang. 

"you're welcome." Jack said as he started walking out of the cafeteria with everyone else. 

Jonah was walking with his four best friends, who were yelling and getting all excited. Millie, Lilia, Maddie, and Emma were all crowding around me and saying stuff.

"what if he likes you back?!" Millie exclaimed.

"what if Jack told him?" Emma asked.

"he promised he wouldn't. and don't get so excited, guys. Jonah would probably do that to anyone." i told them. "we're getting late for gym let's go." 

as i walked into the girls' locker room, all the girls were staring at me.

"i'm guessing you all saw it?" 

"yep." Anna said.

"are you guys dating or something?" Julia asked.

i scoffed. 

"nooo! we were playing truth or dare and Jack dared Jonah to kiss me. probably because he knows i like him now but he better not tell." i told them.

after i was in my gym clothes, i walked out of the locker room, completely forgetting that Jonah was in the same gym class as i was. i looked around for someone, and luckily, Lilia was just walking out of the locker room. i ran up to her and hid behind her.

"what?" she asked, moving away from me and laughing.

"Jonah's here."

"yeah, he's here everyday." 

i looked at her with a face.

"oh!" she walked back in front of me so he wouldn't see me. 

"okay everyone! find a partner for the workout we're doing today."

i decided to be with Lilia since we were already beside each other. we were supposed to sit down on the floor. so Lilia and i sat down, and i was still slightly hiding behind her. 

"Sadie, you're supposed to be sitting beside your partner, not behind them." said Mr. Wilson, the coach.

i rolled my eyes and moved beside Lilia. and who was sitting beside me? Daniel, who was partners with Jonah, who was sitting beside him. i smiled at him and told him not to move since Jonah would see me.

"Sadie, he just kissed your cheek. it was a dare. try to get over it." Lilia informed me.

"how though? it's obviously more awkward since i like him!" i might've said that too loud, because everyone was looking my way. i looked down and pretended to tie my shoes. hopefully they don't know who i was talking about.

after gym was over, i had art class. i love art. it's the only thing i'm actually good at in school, and it makes me happy. we were working on drawings of our pets, or if we didn't have any, some random animal. but since i have a dog, i'm drawing him. his name is Ace, and he's a German Shepherd mix or something like that. our drawings are due in two days but i'm already done mine.

the art teacher was going around the class and looking at everyone's drawings. when she came to mine, she looked shocked. 

"that is great Sadie!" she exclaimed.

"thanks!"

"is that your dog?"

"yeah, his name is Ace."

"nice." she walked away and over to the next person.

after a few moments i heard the bell. i rushed out of art class and went to my locker. when i got there, Jack came over to me.

"again, you're welcome." he said, then he walked away.

"i never said thank you? did i?" i said before he got too far. he just laughed and kept walking.

after i closed my locker, i went over to Maddie and Emma, who were still at their lockers.

"hey Jadie!" Emma teased.

"i slapped her arm again."

"ow!" 

"i was about to say that too but i'm not getting hurt today. i have volleyball practice tonight." Maddie said.

"hah good luck." i said.

Maddie, Emma, and i started walking out of the school when Jack ran towards us. he stopped and tapped me on my back. i turned around.

"Sadie, can i talk to you?"

"yeah what happened?" i asked confused, not thinking about anything else.

"um so when i was at my locker just now i was talking to Jonah and he might know."

"know what?" 

"you like him?" he hinted.

"shit. i forgot about that."

"we were talking about what happened at lunch and he obviously noticed you were blushing and the look on your face so then he said 'wait does she like me or something?' and without thinking i ran away so i could tell you."

"okay so what am i going to do about it?" i was clueless and scared of what would happen next.

"he looked excited as he was asking me, i don't know why though."

"okay well i'm gonna go home, i'll text him later."

"okay. bye"

"bye."

luckily, Emma and Maddie were waiting for me. 

"what was all that about?" Emma asked.

"Jonah's starting to assume i like him."

"and?" Maddie asked.

"i'll text him later."

"ooo i wonder where it'll go." Emma said.

"omg same." Maddie added.

"okay lets forget about this and just start walking." i said giggling.
