"shhhhh!" i covered Jack's mouth with my hand.

"you guys, kissed?" he whispered his last word.

i nodded.

"dude, you're like turning so red right now." he started laughing like he was drunk.

"yeah, i'm sure i am."

"so what happened after that? wow. i can't believe this. its finally happening!" he exclaimed.

"well the bell just rang after so we both went our separate ways without saying anything. but it felt, like. i can't explain, but it felt real, you know?"

"i can't really relate but, yeah. sUrE."

"you can't? what about Zach?"

"ohh yeah."

"yOu kIsS hIm?!?" i asked.

"who else would i dance with?"

"exactly."

"you should be the one worrying. no one likes you."

"yeah i don't get why." he pointed at his hair making a face.

"shut up, that's so fake." i laughed.

"no one knows." he smirked.

"just dance with Zach and you'll be good." i put my thumbs up.

"oh yeah! he's in my gym anyways."

"i'm joking loser."

"i don't care. but you know, i'll find someone. it's all good."

"we're not even toge-"

"yet." he put his finger up.

"okay shh he's back."

the teacher walked back into the classroom and sat down at his desk.

"alright class, i need your practice homework that was assigned yesterday. you can put them on my desk."

everyone got up and walked over to his desk with their papers. except me.

"mr. frantzich." he called out.

i looked up.

"oh, i- i'm sorry." i got up and gave him my paper.

"bro, stop being so out of it. you'll see Sadie at lunch." Jack said, coming back and sitting at his desk beside me.

i slapped his head with a slight smile on my face.

"hey! no touching my noodles!" he exclaimed, fixing his hair.

"why? it's not gonna do anything. they're ugly anyways."

"at least i have interesting hair binch." he said in my face.

"at least i have REAL hair." i teased. he slowly shook his head with annoyance.

"stop beefing idiots." Maddie said beside us.

"oh, i forgot you existed, Mads." Jack said.

she rolled her eyes. she leaned over towards me.
