Ryan's PoV:
I frowned as I stared at the new tv set. It wasn't turning on, even though we hooked it up correctly. We even consulted online forums and tutorials. But alas, the tv set refused to turn on.
"Well, it shouldn't be too long now. I called a few hours ago, and they said he should be here about two." He sighed, sitting down next to me on the couch. I leaned into him, and got comfortable.
"Are we stupid?" I asked him, looking into his bright hazel eyes. Jerome looked incredulous. "Of course not Ryan! It's probably something really small and stupid that we would have no idea about." He pecked my forehead and I smiled.
The doorbell rang, and I grumbled, getting up from my comfortable position to get the door. There she stood, and I was slightly shocked.
"Mr. McNulty? With the tv not working?" She asked, looking up from a clipboard. I nodded, and led her in, directing her to the living room.

After about twenty minutes of watching her work, she sat back on her heels. "Here's your problem, these wires are burnt out. But it's a good thing you stopped trying to turn it on. Otherwise, you would've had a hefty electrical fire on your hands." She said it all nonchalantly, but that was a big deal.
"Really?" Jerome gasped, biting his finger. She nodded, and got up. "I can replace the wires if you want, it'll just cost extra on the bill." I nodded, and she went out to her van.
When she walked out the door, I gave Jerome a worried look. "Shit. We almost burned the house down." I murmured, hugging him. He hugged back tightly. "We really are idiots after all." He whispered, chuckling slightly to play off the situation. I heard the woman come back in, and I pulled away reluctantly.
She had a bunch of multicolored wires in her hands, and she got right to work, snipping the thin wiring, and molding them back together with some weird rubbery material.
After an hour or so, she finished, and gave us a grin.
"That should be it! I hooked up the television as well, so it should be in working order," she pressed the button on the side of the tv, and it came on. "Tada!" She chuckled.
"Thank you so much, we would've never been able to figure that stuff out." Jerome chuckled, shaking her hand.
"It's just my job," I shook her hand as well. "If anything goes wrong, just check this manual." She handed me a thick packet. I nodded, and thanked her once again, leading her to the door, and watched as she waved before driving away.
I shut the door, and looked at the manual in my hands.
"Holy shit, babe!" I called to Jerome.
"What?"
"I think she left me her number!" I laughed to myself.
